Salmo de David. Para o diretor do coro.

1 Diz o louco para consigo mesmo: "Deus não existe."

Todos se têm corrompido e degenerado.

Não há ninguém que faça o bem.

2 O Senhor olha desde os céus sobre toda a humanidade,

para ver se existe alguém

que saiba conduzir-se com sabedoria e busque Deus.

3 Todos se desviaram e juntamente se corromperam;

não há quem faça o bem,

absolutamente ninguém!

4 Serão assim tão ignorantes, esses malfeitores,

que devoram o meu povo como se comessem pão?

Recusam-se a chamar pelo Senhor.

5 O terror dominará as suas vidas,

porque Deus está presente a favor dos justos.

6 Vocês desprezam o direito dos pobres,

mas o Senhor é o seu refúgio.

7 Que bom seria se já tivesse vindo de Sião

a salvação do povo de Deus!

Que alegria será quando o Senhor libertar os presos!

1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.*14.3 filthy: Heb. stinking

4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.

5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.*14.5 were…: Heb. they feared a fear

6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.

7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.*14.7 Oh…: Heb. Who will give
