1 Louvem o Senhor!

Cantem-lhe um cântico novo!

Louvem-no na assembleia dos fiéis!

2 Que Israel se alegre no seu Criador!

Que o povo de Sião se regozije no seu Rei!

3 Louvem-no pelo seu grande nome;

façam-no com danças, harpas e tambores.

4 Porque o Senhor se alegra com o seu povo;

recompensará os humildes com salvação.

5 Que os fiéis se alegrem na sua glória;

cantem de alegria, mesmo que estejam a repousar!

6 Que as suas vozes se façam ouvir louvando a Deus,

tendo na mão a espada de dois gumes.

7 Para julgar as nações e castigar os povos.

8 Para aprisionar os governantes,

amarrando-os com correntes de ferro,

e aos que colaboram na governação dos países.

9 É assim que executará a sua sentença;

esta honra terão todos os seus fiéis.

7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.
