1 Louvem o Senhor!

Louvem-no lá do céu;

louvem-no, vocês, os que habitam nas alturas!

2 Louvem-no, todos os seus anjos!

Louvem-no, todos os seus exércitos celestes!

3 Louvem-no, o Sol e a Lua!

Louvem-no, todas as brilhantes estrelas!

4 Louvem-no, o firmamento,

assim como a atmosfera acima da Terra!

5 Louvem a grandeza do seu nome,

pois ao seu mando tudo foi criado!

6 Tudo passou a existir para sempre,

obedecendo a leis que nunca serão alteradas.

7 Louvem o Senhor, todos os animais terrestres,

assim como os que vivem nos profundos mares

e os grandes animais marinhos!

8 O fogo e a saraiva, a neve e a bruma,

as ventanias que sopram às suas ordens!

9 As altas montanhas e os pequenos outeiros,

as árvores de fruto e os cedros!

10 Os animais selvagens e os animais domésticos;

os que rastejam e os que voam!

11 Todos os governantes da Terra e os seus povos,

chefes de estado e responsáveis pelo exercício da justiça!

12 Moços e moças, velhos e crianças!

13 Que todos louvem o poder do nome do Senhor,

pois só ele é digno de ser exaltado,

acima de tudo o que existe na Terra e nos céus!

14 Também ao seu povo ele o torna grande e forte,

objeto de honra de todos os que lhe são fiéis.

Esse povo, que vive junto de si, o povo de Israel!

6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.

7 Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:

8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:

11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:

12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:

13 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.*148.13 excellent: Heb. exalted

14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.
