1 Que a Terra inteira cante para Deus

com toda a alegria!

2 Que seja cantada toda a força do seu nome!

Que o mundo diga como Deus é maravilhoso!

3 Como são tremendas as tuas obras, ó Deus!

O teu poder é tão grande!

Não admira que os teus inimigos se rendam!

4 Toda a Terra te adorará e cantará louvores,

exaltando o teu nome. (Pausa)

5 Venham ver as obras de Deus,

as coisas admiráveis que tem feito por todos os povos!

6 Abriu-lhes um caminho através do mar,

e passaram-no a pé.

Alegremo-nos com isso!

7 Deus tudo domina eternamente,

pelo seu grande poder.

Observa constantemente as nações da Terra;

não se engrandeçam as gentes rebeldes. (Pausa)

8 Que os povos digam todo o bem que há em Deus;

que façam ouvir as suas vozes em seu louvor!

9 Porque sustenta a nossa vida nas suas mãos

e não deixa que resvalemos no caminho.

10 Tu, ó Deus, nos purificaste,

como a prata num cadinho.

11 Apanhaste-nos na tua rede;

puseste-nos às costas fardos bem pesados.

12 Homens cavalgaram sobre as nossas cabeças;

passámos pelo fogo e por torrentes de águas,

mas finalmente trouxeste-nos para a abundância.

13 Por isso, virei até à tua casa com holocaustos,

para pagar os meus votos.

14 Pois quando estava no meio da aflição

fiz-te essas solenes promessas.

15 Queimarei no teu altar animais gordos;

hei de oferecer-te carneiros, novilhos e bodes. (Pausa)

16 Venham ouvir, todos os que temem a Deus,

e contarei o que ele fez por mim.

17 Clamei por socorro;

exaltei-o com a minha boca.

18 Se tivesse guardado iniquidade no meu coração,

o Senhor não me teria ouvido.

19 Mas Deus ouviu-me;

prestou atenção à minha oração.

20 Bendito seja Deus que não recusou ouvir-me

e não me negou a sua misericórdia!

5 Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

8 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:

11 Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.

16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

17 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.

18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

19 But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
