1 Apressa-te, ó Deus, em me livrar!

Vem depressa em meu auxílio!

2 Desmascara e envergonha toda essa gente

que procura matar-me,

esses que querem o meu mal.

3 Que sejam obrigados a voltar para trás, a fugir,

esses que pretendem divertir-se à minha custa!

4 Mas que se encham de alegria os que te procuram,

os que amam a tua salvação,

e que possam dizer sempre:

"Grande é o poder de Deus!"

5 Eu estou aflito e necessitado;

corre em meu auxílio, ó Deus!

Só tu podes ajudar-me e libertar-me;

Senhor, não me faças esperar!

2 Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.

3 Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.

4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

5 But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.
