1 Nesse tempo, em que restaurarei a prosperidade de Judá e de Jerusalém - diz o Senhor -2 reunirei os exércitos do mundo no vale onde Jeová julga (o vale de Jeosafá), e ali os castigarei por terem ferido o meu povo, por terem feito com que a minha possessão se tivesse espalhado entre as nações e com que a minha terra se dividisse.3 Dispuseram do meu povo como escravos; deram um rapaz em troca de uma meretriz, e uma rapariga em troca de vinho bastante para se embriagarem.4 Atenção, Tiro e Sidom: não tentem interferir! Estão vocês a tentar vingar-se de mim, vocês, cidades da Filisteia? Cuidado! Em breve farei cair sobre vocês a recompensa que merecem.5 Vocês levaram a minha prata e o meu ouro, assim como todos os tesouros preciosos que me pertenciam, e levaram tudo para os vossos templos pagãos.6 Venderam o povo de Judá e de Jerusalém aos gregos, que os levaram para longe, para as suas terras.7 Mas trazê-los-ei de novo desses sítios, para onde vocês os venderam e dar-vos-ei a paga disso tudo que fizeram.8 Venderei os vossos filhos e filhas ao povo de Judá, que por sua vez os venderão aos sabeus, nação remota. Trata-se de uma promessa que faz o Senhor.9 Anuncia isto ao longe e ao perto: aprontem-se para a guerra! Alistem os vossos melhores soldados; façam a listagem de todas as armas que possuem.10 Forjem espadas das vossas enxadas, e lanças das foices. Diga o fraco: Sou forte! Juntem-se e venham, povos de toda a parte agora, Senhor, faz descer ali os teus valentes!12 Convoca as nações e trá-las ao vale de Jeosafá porque será ali que pronunciarei a sentença sobre eles todos.13 Que a foice seja lançada; a seara está madura e espera. Pisem nos lagares, pois estão repletos da maldade destes homens.14 Multidões e multidões esperam, neste vale, pelo veredicto da sua condenação! Porque o dia do Senhor está perto; será no vale do Julgamento.15 O Sol e a Lua escurecerão e as estrelas apagarão a sua luz.16 O Senhor clama desde o seu templo em Jerusalém; a Terra e os céus começam a tremer. Mas para com este povo de Israel o Senhor será bom. Ele é o seu refúgio e a sua força.17 Então saberão enfim que eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus, em Sião, no meu santo monte. Jerusalém será minha para sempre. Virá o tempo em que nunca mais exército estrangeiro a atravessará.18 Escorrerá mosto das montanhas e leite das colinas. Os rios já secos de Judá encher-se-ão de água, e jorrará água do templo do Senhor que regará o vale de Acácia.19 O Egipto será destruído e Edom também, por causa da sua violência contra os judeus, pois mataram gente inocente na terra deles.20 Contudo Israel prosperará para sempre, e Jerusalém permanecerá de geração em geração.21 Porque eu vingarei o sangue do meu povo. Porque a minha casa está em Jerusalém com o meu povo.

1 \2:28\And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:2 \2:29\And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.3 \2:30\And I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.4 \2:31\The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD shall come.5 \2:32\And it shall come to pass, that whoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.6 \3:1\For behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,7 \3:2\I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and divided my land.8 \3:3\And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for a harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.9 \3:4\Yes, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompense? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily I will return your recompense upon your own head;10 \3:5\Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things.11 \3:6\The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold to the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.12 \3:7\Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompense upon your own head:13 \3:8\And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: for the LORD hath spoken it.14 \3:9\Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:15 \3:10\Beat your plow-shares into swords, and your pruning-hooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.16 \3:11\Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together around: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.17 \3:12\Let the heathen be awakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen on every side.18 \3:13\Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, go down; for the press is full, the vats overflow; for their wickedness is great.19 \3:14\Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision; for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.20 \3:15\The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.21 \3:16\The LORD also will roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake; but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.22 \3:17\So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.23 \3:18\And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth from the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.24 \3:19\Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.25 \3:20\But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.26 \3:21\For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.
