1 With her freedom, Christ hath made you, free. Stand fast, therefore, and do not, again, with a yoke of servitude, be held fast!2 See! I, Paul, say unto youif ye be getting circumcised, Christ will profit you, nothing.3 Yea, I bear solemn witness again, unto every man getting circumcised,that he is, a debtor, to do, the whole law.4 Ye have been set aside from Christ, ye who, by law, are to be declared righteous,out of his favour, ye have fallen;5 For, we, in Spirit, by faith, for a hope of righteousness, are ardently waiting,6 For, in Christ Jesus , neither, circumcision, availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith, through love, energising.7 Ye were running well:who hath hindered you, that, by truth, ye are not to be persuaded?8 The persuasion, not of him that calleth you:9 A little leaven, leaveneth, the whole lump.10 I, am persuaded regarding you, in the Lordthat, for nothing else, ye will have any regard; but, he that is troubling you, shall bear the sentence,whosoever he may be.11 I, however, brethrenif, circumcision, I yet proclaim, why am I yet persecuted? After all, the stumbling-block of the cross hath been set aside.12 Oh! that they would even leave off in dismay, who are unsettling you!13 For, ye, on a footing of freedom, were called, brethren,only, not your freedom into an occasion to the flesh, but, by means of your love, be serving one another;14 For, the whole law, in one word, is summed up in this,Thou shall love thy neighbour as thyself.15 If, however, one another, ye bite and devour, take heed lest, by one another, ye be consumed!16 I say, moreoverby Spirit, be walking, and, fleshly coveting, ye will in nowise fulfil;17 For, the flesh, coveted against the Spirit, but, the Spirit, against the flesh,for, these, unto one another, are opposed, lest, whatsoever things ye chance to desire, these, ye should be doing!18 And, if, by Spirit, ye are being led, ye are not under law.19 Manifest, however, are the works of the flesh, which, indeed, arefornication, impurity, wantonness,20 idolatry, enchantment, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of wrath, factions, divisions, parties,21 envyings, drunkenness, revellings;and such things as these: as to which I forewarn you, even as I have forewarned you,that, they who such things as these do practise, shall not inherit, Gods kingdom.22 But, the fruit of the Spirit, islove, joy, peace, long-suffering, graciousness, goodness, faithfulness,23 meekness, self-control;against such things as these, there is no law.24 And, they who are of Christ Jesus, have crucified, the flesh, with its susceptibilities and covetings.25 If we live by Spirit, by Spirit, let us also walk.26 Let us not become vain-glorious,one another, challenging, one another, envying.

2 Eis que eu, Paulo, vos digo que, se vos deixardes circuncidar, Cristo de nada vos aproveitará. 3 E, de novo, protesto a todo homem que se deixa circuncidar que está obrigado a guardar toda a lei. 4 Separados estais de Cristo, vós os que vos justificais pela lei; da graça tendes caído. 5 Porque nós, pelo espírito da fé, aguardamos a esperança da justiça. 6 Porque, em Jesus Cristo, nem a circuncisão nem a incircuncisão têm virtude alguma, mas, sim, a fé que opera por amor. 7 Corríeis bem; quem vos impediu, para que não obedeçais à verdade? 8 Esta persuasão não vem daquele que vos chamou. 9 Um pouco de fermento leveda toda a massa. 10 Confio de vós, no Senhor, que nenhuma outra coisa sentireis; mas aquele que vos inquieta, seja ele quem for, sofrerá a condenação. 11 Eu, porém, irmãos, se prego ainda a circuncisão, por que sou, pois, perseguido? Logo, o escândalo da cruz está aniquilado. 12 Eu quereria que fossem cortados aqueles que vos andam inquietando.

13 Porque vós, irmãos, fostes chamados à liberdade. Não useis, então, da liberdade para dar ocasião à carne, mas servi-vos uns aos outros pelo amor. 14 Porque toda a lei se cumpre numa só palavra, nesta: Amarás o teu próximo como a ti mesmo. 15 Se vós, porém, vos mordeis e devorais uns aos outros, vede não vos consumais também uns aos outros.

16 Digo, porém: Andai em Espírito e não cumprireis a concupiscência da carne. 17 Porque a carne cobiça contra o Espírito, e o Espírito, contra a carne; e estes opõem-se um ao outro; para que não façais o que quereis. 18 Mas, se sois guiados pelo Espírito, não estais debaixo da lei. 19 Porque as obras da carne são manifestas, as quais são: prostituição, impureza, lascívia, 20 idolatria, feitiçarias, inimizades, porfias, emulações, iras, pelejas, dissensões, heresias, 21 invejas, homicídios, bebedices, glutonarias e coisas semelhantes a estas, acerca das quais vos declaro, como já antes vos disse, que os que cometem tais coisas não herdarão o Reino de Deus. 22 Mas o fruto do Espírito é: amor, gozo, paz, longanimidade, benignidade, bondade, fé, mansidão, temperança. 23 Contra essas coisas não há lei. 24 E os que são de Cristo crucificaram a carne com as suas paixões e concupiscências.

25 Se vivemos no Espírito, andemos também no Espírito. 26 Não sejamos cobiçosos de vanglórias, irritando-nos uns aos outros, invejando-nos uns aos outros.
