1 And once more the messenger who was speaking with me, roused me up, just as a man might be roused up out of his sleep.2 Then said he unto me, What canst thou see? And I saidI have looked, and lo! a Lampstandall of gold, with the Bowl thereof upon the top thereof, and its Seven Lamps upon it, Seven Pipes each, to the lamps which are upon the top thereof;3 and, Two Olive-trees, by it,one upon the right hand of the bowl, and one upon the left hand thereof.4 Then responded I, and said unto the messenger who was speaking with me, saying,What are these, my lord?5 Then answered the messenger who was speaking with me, and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these, are? And I said, No my lord.6 Then responded he, and spake unto me, saying, This, is the word of Yahweh, unto Zerubbabel, saying,Not by wealth, nor by strength, but by my spirit, saith Yahweh of hosts.7 Who, art, thou, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel, to a plain! So shall he bring forth the headstone, with thundering shouts Beautiful! Beautiful! thereunto.8 Then came the word of Yahweh unto me, saying:9 The hands of Zerubbabel, have founded this house, and, his hands, shall finish it,So shalt thou know that, Yahweh of hosts, hath sent me unto you.10 For who hath despised the day of small things? Yet shall they rejoice, when they see the plummet-stone in the hand of Zerubbabel,these seven! The eyes of Yahweh, they arerunning to and fro throughout all the earth.11 Then responded I, and said unto him,What are these two olive-trees, upon the right of the lampstand, and upon the left thereof?12 And I responded a second time, and said unto him,What are the two branches of the olive- trees which join the two golden tubes, which empty out of them the golden oil?13 And he spake unto me, saying, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord.14 Then said he, These, are the two Anointed Ones,who stand near the Lord of all the earth.

1 E tornou o anjo que falava comigo, e me despertou, como a um homem que é despertado do seu sono, 2 e me disse: Que vês? E eu disse: Olho, e eis um castiçal todo de ouro, e um vaso de azeite no cimo, com as suas sete lâmpadas; e cada lâmpada posta no cimo tinha sete canudos. 3 E, por cima dele, duas oliveiras, uma à direita do vaso de azeite, e outra à sua esquerda. 4 E falei e disse ao anjo que falava comigo, dizendo: Senhor meu, que é isto? 5 Então, respondeu o anjo que falava comigo e me disse: Não sabes tu o que isto é? E eu disse: Não, Senhor meu. 6 E respondeu e me falou, dizendo: Esta é a palavra do Senhor a Zorobabel, dizendo: Não por força, nem por violência, mas pelo meu Espírito, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos. 7 Quem és tu, ó monte grande? Diante de Zorobabel, serás uma campina; porque ele trará a primeira pedra com aclamações: Graça, graça a ela.

8 E a palavra do Senhor veio de novo a mim, dizendo: 9 As mãos de Zorobabel têm fundado esta casa, também as suas mãos a acabarão, para que saibais que o Senhor dos Exércitos me enviou a vós. 10 Porque quem despreza o dia das coisas pequenas? Pois esse se alegrará, vendo o prumo na mão de Zorobabel; são os sete olhos do Senhor, que discorrem por toda a terra.

11 Falei mais e disse-lhe: Que são as duas oliveiras à direita do castiçal e à sua esquerda? 12 E, falando-lhe outra vez, disse: Que são aqueles dois raminhos de oliveira que estão junto aos dois tubos de ouro e que vertem de si ouro? 13 E ele me respondeu, dizendo: Não sabes o que é isto? E eu disse: Não, Senhor meu. 14 Então, ele disse: Estes são os dois ungidos, que estão diante do Senhor de toda a terra.
