1 Beobachte den Monat Abib, daß du dem HERRN, deinem Gott, das Passah feierst; denn im Monat Abib hat dich der HERR, dein Gott, bei Nacht aus Ägypten geführt.

2 Und du sollst dem HERRN, deinem Gott, als Passah Rinder und Schafe opfern an dem Ort, den der HERR erwählen wird, daß sein Name daselbst wohne.

3 Du sollst kein gesäuertes Brot an diesem Feste essen. Du sollst sieben Tage lang ungesäuertes Brot des Elends essen, denn du bist in eiliger Flucht aus Ägyptenland gezogen; darum sollst du dein Leben lang an den Tag deines Auszugs aus Ägyptenland denken!

4 Und es soll sieben Tage lang kein Sauerteig in allen deinen Landmarken gesehen werden, und soll auch nichts von dem Fleische, das am Abend des ersten Tages geschlachtet worden ist, über Nacht bleiben bis zum Morgen.

5 Du darfst das Passah nicht schlachten in irgend einem deiner Tore, die der HERR, dein Gott, dir gegeben hat;

6 sondern an dem Ort, den der HERR, dein Gott, erwählen wird, daß sein Name daselbst wohne, daselbst sollst du das Passah schlachten am Abend, wenn die Sonne untergeht, zu eben der Zeit, als du aus Ägypten zogest.

7 Und du sollst es braten und an dem Ort essen, den der HERR, dein Gott, erwählt hat, und sollst am Morgen umkehren und wieder zu deiner Hütte gehen.

8 Sechs Tage lang sollst du Ungesäuertes essen; und am siebenten Tage ist der Versammlungstag des HERRN, deines Gottes; da sollst du kein Werk tun.

9 Sieben Wochen sollst du dir abzählen; wenn man anfängt, die Sichel an die Saat zu legen, sollst du anheben, die sieben Wochen zu zählen.

10 Darnach sollst du dem HERRN, deinem Gott, das Fest der Wochen halten und ein freiwilliges Opfer von deiner Hand geben, je nach dem der HERR, dein Gott, dich gesegnet hat.

11 Und du sollst fröhlich sein vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, du und dein Sohn und deine Tochter und dein Knecht und deine Magd und der Levit, der in deinen Toren ist, und der Fremdling und die Waise und die Witwe, die unter dir sind, an dem Ort, den der HERR, dein Gott, erwählen wird, daß sein Name daselbst wohne.

12 Und bedenke, daß du in Ägypten ein Knecht gewesen bist, daß du diese Satzungen beobachtest und tuest!

13 Das Fest der Laubhütten sollst du sieben Tage lang halten, wenn du den Ertrag deiner Tenne und deiner Kelter eingesammelt hast.

14 Und du sollst an deinem Feste fröhlich sein, du und dein Sohn und deine Tochter und dein Knecht und deine Magd und der Levit und der Fremdling und die Waise und die Witwe, die in deinen Toren sind.

15 Sieben Tage lang sollst du dem HERRN, deinem Gott, das Fest halten an dem Ort, den der HERR erwählt hat; denn der HERR, dein Gott, wird dich segnen im ganzen Ertrag deiner Ernte und in allen Werken deiner Hände; darum sollst du fröhlich sein.

16 Dreimal im Jahre sollen alle deine männlichen Personen vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, erscheinen an dem Ort, den er erwählen wird, nämlich am Fest der ungesäuerten Brote und am Fest der Wochen und am Fest der Laubhütten. Aber niemand soll mit leeren Händen vor dem HERRN erscheinen,

17 sondern ein jeder mit einer Gabe seiner Hand, je nach dem Segen, den der HERR, dein Gott, dir gegeben hat.

18 Du sollst dir Richter und Amtleute einsetzen in allen deinen Toren, die der HERR, dein Gott, dir unter deinen Stämmen geben wird, damit sie das Volk richten mit gerechtem Gericht.

19 Du sollst das Recht nicht beugen. Du sollst auch keine Person ansehen und keine Geschenke nehmen, denn die Geschenke verblenden die Augen der Weisen und verkehren die Worte der Gerechten.

20 Der Gerechtigkeit, ja der Gerechtigkeit jage nach, daß du leben und das Land besitzen mögest, das der HERR, dein Gott, dir geben wird.

21 Du sollst dir kein Astartenbild von irgendwelchem Holz aufstellen bei dem Altar des HERRN, deines Gottes, den du dir machst,

22 und du sollst dir auch keine Säule aufrichten; solches haßt der HERR, dein Gott.

1 `Observe the month of Abib -- and thou hast made a passover to Jehovah thy God, for in the month of Abib hath Jehovah thy God brought thee out of Egypt by night;

2 and thou hast sacrificed a passover to Jehovah thy God, of the flock, and of the herd, in the place which Jehovah doth choose to cause His name to tabernacle there.

3 `Thou dost not eat with it any fermented thing, seven days thou dost eat with it unleavened things, bread of affliction; for in haste thou hast come out of the land of Egypt; so that thou dost remember the day of thy coming out of the land of Egypt all days of thy life;

4 and there is not seen with thee leaven in all thy border seven days, and there doth not remain of the flesh which thou dost sacrifice at evening on the first day till morning.

5 `Thou art not able to sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee,

6 except at the place which Jehovah thy God doth choose to cause His name to tabernacle -- there thou dost sacrifice the passover in the evening, at the going in of the sun, the season of thy coming out of Egypt;

7 and thou hast cooked and eaten in the place on which Jehovah thy God doth fix, and hast turned in the morning, and gone to thy tents;

8 six days thou dost eat unleavened things, and on the seventh day [is] a restraint to Jehovah thy God; thou dost do no work.

9 `Seven weeks thou dost number to thee; from the beginning of the sickle among the standing corn thou dost begin to number seven weeks,

10 and thou hast made the feast of weeks to Jehovah thy God, a tribute of a free-will offering of thy hand, which thou dost give, as Jehovah thy God doth bless thee.

11 And thou hast rejoiced before Jehovah thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy handmaid, and the Levite who [is] within thy gates, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who [are] in thy midst, in the place which Jehovah thy God doth choose to cause His name to tabernacle there,

12 and thou hast remembered that a servant thou hast been in Egypt, and hast observed and done these statutes.

13 `The feast of booths thou dost make for thee seven days, in thine in-gathering of thy threshing-floor, and of thy wine-vat;

14 and thou hast rejoiced in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy handmaid, and the Levite, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who [are] within thy gates.

15 Seven days thou dost feast before Jehovah thy God, in the place which Jehovah doth choose, for Jehovah thy God doth bless thee in all thine increase, and in every work of thy hands, and thou hast been only rejoicing.

16 `Three times in a year doth every one of thy males appear before Jehovah thy God in the place which He doth choose -- in the feast of unleavened things, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of booths; and they do not appear before Jehovah empty;

17 each according to the gift of his hand, according to the blessing of Jehovah thy God, which He hath given to thee.

18 `Judges and authorities thou dost make to thee within all thy gates which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee, for thy tribes; and they have judged the people -- a righteous judgment.

19 Thou dost not turn aside judgment; thou dost not discern faces, nor take a bribe, for the bribe blindeth the eyes of the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

20 Righteousness -- righteousness thou dost pursue, so that thou livest, and hast possessed the land which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee.

21 `Thou dost not plant for thee a shrine of any trees near the altar of Jehovah thy God, which thou makest for thyself,

22 and thou dost not raise up to thee any standing image which Jehovah thy God is hating.
