1 Para as turmas dos porteiros: dos coraítas: Meselemias, filho de Coré, dos filhos de Asafe.2 Foram os filhos de Meselemias: Zacarias, o primogênito, Jediael, o segundo, Zebadias, o terceiro, e Jatniel, o quarto;3 Elão, o quinto, Joanã, o sexto, e Elioenai, o sétimo.4 Os filhos de Obede-Edom: Semaías, o primogênito, Jozabade, o segundo, Joá, o terceiro, Sacar, o quarto, Natanael, o quinto;5 Amiel, o sexto, Issacar, o sétimo, e Peuletai, o oitavo; porque Deus o abençoou.6 Também a seu filho Semaías nasceram filhos que dominavam sobre a casa de seu pai; porque eram ilustres em valor.7 Os filhos de Semaías: Otni, Rafael, Obede e Elzabade, cujos irmãos, Eliú e Semaquias, eram homens valentes.8 Todos estes eram dos filhos de Obede-Edom. Eles e seus filhos e irmãos, homens cheios de poder e força para o serviço, eram sessenta e dois.9 Os filhos e irmãos de Meselemias, homens valentes, foram dezoito.10 Também de Hosa, dos filhos de Merari, foram filhos: Sinri, o chefe (pois ainda que não era o primogênito, contudo seu pai o constituiu chefe),11 Hilquias, o segundo, Tebelias, o terceiro, e Zacarias, o quarto. Todos os filhos e irmãos de Hosa eram treze.12 Destes se fizeram as turmas dos porteiros, a saber, dos homens principais, tendo cargos como seus irmãos, para servirem na casa de Jeová.13 Deitaram sortes, tanto o pequeno como o grande, segundo as suas famílias, para cada porta.14 Caiu a sorte do lado do oriente a Selemias. Depois por seu filho Zacarias, conselheiro discreto, se lançou a sorte; e saiu-lhe a sorte do lado do norte.15 A Obede-Edom a do lado do sul; e a seus filhos a casa de depósitos.16 A Supim e Hosa a do lado do ocidente, junto à porta de Salecete, perto da estrada que sobe: uma guarda defronte de outra guarda.17 Ao oriente seis levitas, ao norte quatro por dia, ao sul quatro por dia, e para a casa de depósitos dois num lugar e dois noutro.18 Para Parbar ao ocidente, quatro junto à estrada, e dois junto a Parbar.19 Estas eram as turmas dos porteiros, dos filhos dos coraítas e dos filhos de Merari.20 Dos levitas Aías tinha cargo dos tesouros da casa de Deus, e dos tesouros das coisas sagradas.21 Os filhos de Ladã, os filhos dos gersonitas, descendentes de Ladã, cabeças das famílias descendentes de Ladã gersonita: Jeieli.22 Os filhos de Jeieli: Zetã e seu irmão Joel, guardas dos tesouros da casa de Jeová.23 Dos anramitas, dos izaritas, dos hebronitas, dos uzielitas24 era Sebuel, filho de Gérson, filho de Moisés, superintendente dos tesouros.25 Seus irmãos: de Eliezer foi filho Reabias, de quem foi filho Jesaías, de quem foi filho Jorão, de quem foi filho Zicri, de quem foi filho Selomote.26 Este Selomote e seus irmãos tinham a seu cargo todos os tesouros das coisas sagradas, que o rei Davi e os cabeças das famílias, capitães de mil e de centenas, e capitães do exército, tinham consagrado.27 Dos despojos das guerras consagraram uma parte para consertarem a casa de Jeová.28 Tudo quanto tinham consagrado o vidente Samuel, Saul, filho de Quis, Abner, filho de Ner, e Joabe, filho de Zeruia (todos os que tinham consagrado alguma coisa), tudo foi posto nas mãos de Selomote e de seus irmãos.29 Dos izaritas, Quenanias e seus filhos foram postos sobre Israel para os negócios de fora como oficiais e juízes.30 Dos hebronitas, Hasabias e seus irmãos, homens valentes, mil e setecentos, tinham a seu cargo a Israel além do Jordão para o ocidente, em todos os negócios de Jeová e no serviço do rei.31 Jerijá era chefe dos hebronitas, segundo as suas gerações por famílias. No ano quadragésimo do reinado de Davi foram procurados, e acharam- se entre eles em Jazer de Gileade homens ilustres em valor.32 Seus irmãos, homens valentes, foram dois mil e setecentos, cabeças de famílias, a quem o rei Davi constituiu superintendentes sobre os rubenitas, os gaditas e a meia tribo dos manassitas em todos os negócios de Deus e em todos os negócios do rei.

But to his son Zacharias, a very wise and learned man, the north gate fell by lot.15 And to Obededom and his sons that towards the south: in which part of the house was the council of the ancients.16 To Sephim, and Hosa towards the west, by the gate which leadeth to the way of the ascent: ward against ward.17 Now towards the east were six Levites: and towards the north four a day: and towards the south likewise four a day: and where the council was, two and two.18 In the cells also of the porters toward the west four in the way: and two at every cell.19 These are the divisions of the porters of the sons of Core, and of Merari.20 Now Achias was over the treasures of the house of God, and the holy vessels.21 The sons of Ledan, the sons of Gersonni: of Ledan were heads of the families, of Ledan, and Gersonni, Jehieli.22 The sons of Jehieli: Zathan and Joel, his brethren over the treasures of the house of the Lord,23 With the Amramites, and Isaarites, and Hebronites, and Ozielites.24 And Subael the son of Gersom, the son of Moses, was chief over the treasures.25 His brethren also, Eliezer, whose son Rohobia, and his son Isaias, and his son Joram, and his son Zechri, and his son Selemith.26 Which Selemith and his brethren were over the treasures of the holy things, which king David, and the heads of families, and the captains over thousands and over hundreds, and the captains of the host had dedicated,27 Out of the wars, and the spoils won in battles, which they had consecrated to the building and furniture of the temple of the Lord.28 And all these things that Samuel the seer and Saul the son of Cis, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Sarvia had sanctified: and whosoever had sanctified those things, they were under the hand of Selemith and his brethren.29 But Chonenias and his sons were over the Isaarites, for the business abroad over Israel to teach them and judge them.30 And of the Hebronites Hasabias, and his brethren most able men, a thousand seven hundred had the charge over Israel beyond the Jordan westward, in all the works of the Lord, and for the service of the king.31 And the chief of the Hebronites was Jeria according to their families and kindreds. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were numbered, and there were found most valiant men in Jazer Galaad,32 And his brethren of stronger age, two thousand seven hundred chiefs of families. And king David made them rulers over the Rubenites and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasses, for all the service of God, and the king.
