O caráter da sua pregação

1 Eu, quando fui ter convosco, irmãos, fui *1Co 2.4,13; vd.1Co 1.17não com excelência de palavras ou de sabedoria, anunciando-vos *1Co 2.7o testemunho de Deus. 2 Pois resolvi não saber coisa alguma entre vós, senão a *Gl 6.14;1Co 1.23Jesus Cristo, e este crucificado. 3 Eu *cp.At 18.1,6,12estive entre vós em *1Co 4.10;2Co 11.30;12.5,9s.;13.9fraqueza, em *Is 19.16;Ef 6.5; cp.2Co 7.15temor e em grande tremor; 4 e o meu ensino e a minha pregação não foram em palavras persuasivas de sabedoria, mas em demonstração do *Rm 15.19; cp.1Co 4.20Espírito e do poder, 5 para que a vossa fé não se baseie na sabedoria dos homens, mas *2Co 4.7;6.7; cp.12.9no poder de Deus.

A verdadeira sabedoria. O ensino do Espírito Santo

6 Entretanto, falamos sabedoria entre os *Ef 4.13;Fp 3.15;Hb 5.14;6.1perfeitos, porém não a sabedoria *1Co 1.20;Mt 13.22deste mundo, nem a dos poderosos deste mundo, que estão *1Co 1.28sendo reduzidos a nada; 7 pelo contrário, falamos a sabedoria de Deus em *1Co 2.1;Rm 11.25;16.25s.mistério, sim, a sabedoria que esteve oculta, a qual Deus *Rm 8.29s.predeterminou *cp.Hb 1.2;11.3antes dos séculos para a nossa glória; 8 *1Co 2.6; vd.1Co 1.26a qual nenhum dos poderosos deste mundo conheceu, pois, se a tivessem conhecido, não teriam crucificado *cp.At 7.2;Tg 2.1o Senhor da glória; 9 mas como está escrito:

*Is 64.4;65.17As coisas que o olho não viu, e o ouvido não ouviu,

e não entraram no coração do homem,

tudo quanto preparou Deus para os que o amam.

10 *Mt 11.25;13.11;16.17;Gl 1.12;Ef 3.3,5Pois Deus no-las revelou a nós *Jo 14.26pelo Espírito; porque o Espírito tudo esquadrinha, até as *cp.Rm 11.33ss.coisas profundas de Deus. 11 Qual dos homens sabe as coisas do homem, senão *Pv 20.27o espírito do homem, que nele está? Assim, também as coisas de Deus, ninguém as conhece, senão o Espírito de Deus. 12 Nós não *cp.Rm 8.15recebemos o espírito do *1Co 1.27mundo, mas sim o espírito que vem de Deus, para que saibamos as coisas que por Deus nos foram dadas gratuitamente; 13 as quais também anunciamos, *1Co 1.17;2.1,4não com palavras ensinadas pela sabedoria humana, mas com palavras ensinadas pelo Espírito, combinando coisas espirituais com espirituais. 14 O *cp.1Co 15.44,46;Tg 3.15;Jd 19homem natural *Jo 14.17não aceita as coisas do Espírito de Deus, pois para ele são *1Co 1.18loucura; não as pode conhecer, porque são julgadas espiritualmente. 15 Porém o homem *1Co 3.1;14.37;Gl 6.1espiritual julga todas as coisas e ele não é julgado por ninguém. 16 Pois *Is 40.13;Rm 11.34quem conheceu a mente do Senhor, para que o possa instruir? *cp.Jo 15.15Nós, porém, temos a mente de Cristo.

1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
