Os últimos tempos: as palavras seladas

1 Nesse tempo, se levantará *Dn 10.13,21Miguel, o grande príncipe que se levanta a favor dos filhos do teu povo, e haverá um tempo de tribulação, *Dn 9.12;Jr 30.7;Ez 5.9;Mt 24.21;Mc 13.19qual nunca houve desde que existiu nação até aquele tempo. Naquele tempo, livrar-se-á o teu povo, todo aquele que for achado escrito no *Dn 12.4;Dn 7.10;10.21livro. 2 *Is 26.19;Ez 37.12-14Muitos dos que dormem no pó da terra acordarão, *Jo 5.28-29uns para a vida eterna, e outros, para a vergonha e confusão sempiterna. 3 Os que forem *Dn 12.10;Dn 11.33,35sábios *Jo 5.35resplandecerão como o fulgor do firmamento; e os que *Dn 11.33;Is 53.11converterem a muitos para a justiça, como as estrelas para todo o sempre. 4 Tu, porém, Daniel, *Dn 12.9;Dn 8.26encerra as palavras *Dn 12.9;Is 8.16e sela o livro, até *Dn 12.9,13;Dn 8.17o tempo do fim; *Dn 11.33;Is 11.9;29.18-19muitos correrão duma para outra parte, e a ciência se multiplicará.

5 Então, eu, Daniel, olhei, e eis que estavam em pé *Dn 10.5-6,10,16outros dois, um duma banda, à beira do *Dn 10.4rio, e o outro da outra banda, à beira do rio. 6 *Dn 8.16;Zc 1.12-13Perguntou-se ao homem *Dn 10.5;Ez 9.2vestido de linho, que estava por cima das águas do rio: *Dn 12.8;Dn 8.13;Mt 24.3;Mc 13.4Quanto tempo haverá até o fim dessas maravilhas? 7 Eu ouvi o homem vestido de linho, que estava por cima das águas do rio, quando *Ez 20.5;Ap 10.5-6levantou ao céu a sua mão direita e a mão esquerda e jurou, por aquele *Dn 4.34;6.26que vive eternamente, que isso seria para *Dn 7.25;Ap 12.14um tempo, e tempos, e metade dum tempo; quando tiverem acabado de *Dn 8.24;Lc 21.24despedaçar o poder do povo santo, cumprir-se-ão todas essas coisas. 8 Eu ouvi, porém não entendi; então, disse eu: Meu senhor, qual será *Dn 12.6o fim dessas coisas? 9 Ele respondeu: *Dn 12.13Vai-te, Daniel, pois as palavras *Dn 12.4;Dn 8.26estão fechadas e seladas até o tempo do fim. 10 Muitos *Dn 11.35se purificarão, e se embranquecerão, e serão acrisolados; *Is 32.6-7mas os ímpios procederão impiamente. Nenhum dos ímpios entenderá; porém os que forem *Dn 12.3;Os 14.9sábios entenderão. 11 Desde o tempo em que *Dn 8.11-14o holocausto perpétuo for tirado *Dn 9.27;11.31;Mt 24.15;Mc 13.14e a abominação que assola for estabelecida, haverá mil e duzentos e noventa dias. 12 *Is 30.18Bem-aventurado é o que espera e chega aos *Dn 8.14;Ap 11.2;12.6;13.5mil e trezentos e trinta e cinco dias. 13 Tu, porém, *Dn 12.9vai-te, até que chegue *Dn 12.4o fim; *Ap 14.13pois descansarás e estarás na tua *Sl 16.5sorte, ao fim dos dias.

1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.*12.3 wise: or, teachers 4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
