Julgamento das nações por Jeová

1 Eis que Jeová *Is 24.19-20;2.19;13.13;30.32;33.9despejará a terra, e a esvaziará, e a transtornará, e *Is 13.14espalhará os seus habitantes. 2 Assim *Is 24.2;3.2-8;Ez 7.12-13;Os 4.9;1Co 7.29-31como suceder ao povo, assim sucederá ao sacerdote; como ao servo, assim ao seu senhor; como à serva, assim à sua senhora; como ao comprador, assim ao vendedor; como ao que empresta, assim ao que toma emprestado; como ao *Lv 25.36-37;Dt 23.19-20credor, assim ao devedor. 3 A terra será de *Is 6.11-12todo despejada e de todo saqueada, porque Jeová proferiu essa palavra. 4 A terra *Is 3.26;33.9pranteia e se murcha; o mundo enfraquece e se murcha: enfraquecem *Is 24.21;2.12os mais altos da terra. 5 Também a terra *Is 9.17;10.6;Gn 3.17;Nm 35.33está contaminada debaixo dos seus habitantes, porque *Is 59.12transgrediram as leis, *Is 10.1-2mudaram a ordenança e *Is 33.8romperam a aliança sempiterna. 6 Por isso, *Is 34.5;43.28;Js 23.15;Zc 5.3-4a maldição tem devorado a terra, e os que nela habitam são tidos por culpados; por isso, são queimados *Is 1.31;5.24;9.19os habitantes da terra, e ficam de resto poucos homens. 7 *Is 16.10;Jl 1.10,12O mosto pranteia, a vide enfraquece, todos os alegres de coração gemem. 8 *Is 5.12,14;Jr 7.34;16.9;25.10;Ez 26.13;Os 2.11;Ap 18.22Cessa a alegria dos tambores, acaba a algazarra dos que exultam, cessa a alegria da harpa. 9 Não beberão vinho cantando árias; *Is 5.11,22a bebida forte será *Is 5.20amarga para os que a beberem. 10 *Is 34.11;Gn 1.2Demolida está a cidade de caos; fechada está *Is 23.1toda a casa, de modo que não se pode entrar. 11 Há um *Jr 14.2;46.12lamento nos campos por causa do vinho; já escureceu *Is 16.10;32.13toda a alegria, já se foi o prazer da terra. 12 A desolação reina na cidade, *Is 14.31;45.2e a porta está reduzida a ruínas. 13 Pois *Is 17.6;27.12assim será no meio da terra entre os povos, como ao varejar de oliveira, como ao rebuscar uvas, quando está acabada a vindima.

14 *Is 12.6;48.20;52.8;54.1Estes levantarão a sua voz, darão gritos; por causa da majestade de Jeová, clamarão *Is 42.10;60.5desde o mar em altas vozes. 15 Pelo que *Is 25.3glorificai no Oriente a Jeová, *Ml 1.11ao nome de Jeová, Deus de Israel, *Is 11.11;42.4,10,12;49.1;51.5;60.9;66.19nas ilhas do mar. 16 Desde *Is 11.12;42.10as extremidades da terra, temos ouvido cânticos, *Is 28.5;60.21louvores ao justo.

Porém eu disse: *Lv 26.39Desgraçado de mim! Desgraçado de mim! ai de mim! *Is 21.2;33.1;Jr 3.20;5.11Os prevaricadores têm prevaricado, sim, os prevaricadores têm prevaricado excessivamente. 17 *Is 8.14;Dt 32.23-25;1Rs 19.17;Jr 48.43-44;Am 5.19O pavor, e a cova, e o laço estão para cair sobre ti, morador da terra. 18 Aquele que fugir da voz do pavor cairá na cova; e o que subir do meio da cova ficará preso no laço; porque *Gn 7.11as janelas lá do alto já se abriram, e *Is 2.19,21;13.13;Sl 18.7;46.2os fundamentos da terra tremem. 19 *Is 24.1A terra está de todo despedaçada, a terra está *Nm 16.31-32;Dt 11.6de todo esmigalhada, a terra está de todo abalada. 20 A terra *Is 24.1;19.14;28.7cambaleará como um bêbado e balanceará como uma rede de dormir; sobre ela será pesada *Is 1.28;43.27;66.24a sua transgressão; ela cairá *Dt 11.19;Am 8.14e não se levantará.

21 Naquele dia, Jeová *Is 10.12;13.11castigará o exército dos *Is 24.4altos nas alturas e *Sl 76.12os reis da terra, sobre a terra. 22 Serão ajuntados, como *Is 10.4;42.22presos são ajuntados na cova, serão encarcerados na prisão e, depois de muitos dias, *Ez 38.8;Zc 9.11-12serão visitados. 23 Então, *Is 13.10a lua se confundirá, e o sol se envergonhará, porque *Is 60.19-20;Zc 14.6-7;Ap 21.23;22.5Jeová dos Exércitos reinará *Mq 4.7;Hb 12.22no monte de Sião e em Jerusalém, e na presença dos seus anciãos haverá glória.

1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.*24.1 turneth…: Heb. perverteth the face thereof 2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.*24.2 priest: or, prince 3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word. 4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.*24.4 the haughty…: Heb. the height of the people 5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. 7 The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merryhearted do sigh. 8 The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth. 9 They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it. 10 The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in. 11 There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone. 12 In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction.

13 When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done. 14 They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea. 15 Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea.*24.15 fires: or, valleys

16 From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.*24.16 uttermost…: Heb. wing*24.16 My leanness: Heb. Leanness to me, or, My secret to me 17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth. 18 And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake. 19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. 20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again. 21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.*24.21 punish: Heb. visit upon 22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.*24.22 as prisoners…: Heb. with the gathering of prisoners*24.22 pit: or, dungeon*24.22 visited: or, found wanting 23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.*24.23 before…: or, there shall be glory before his ancients
