Isaías 27

1 Naquele dia, Jeová castigará com a *Is 34.5-6;65.12;66.16sua espada dura, grande e forte, a *Jó 3.8;41.1;Sl 74.14;104.26Leviatã, aquela serpente veloz, a Leviatã, aquela serpente cheia de roscas; ele matará ao *Is 51.9dragão que está no mar.

A vinha de Jeová

2 Naquele dia, haverá *Is 5.7;Sl 80.8;Jr 2.21uma vinha deliciosa; cantai dela. 3 Eu, Jeová, a guardo; cada momento *Is 58.11a regarei, para que ninguém lhe faça dano, *Is 31.5;1Sm 2.9;Jo 10.28de noite e de dia, a guardarei. 4 Não há furor em mim. Oxalá que fossem ordenados diante de mim em guerra *Is 10.17;2Sm 23.6os espinhos e abrolhos! Contra eles marcharia e *Is 33.12;Mt 3.12;Hb 6.8juntamente os queimaria. 5 Se assim não for, apodere-se *Is 12.2;17.10;25.4da minha defesa, faça paz comigo, sim, *Is 26.3,12;Jó 22.21;Rm 5.1;2Co 5.20faça paz comigo. 6 Nos dias vindouros, *Is 37.31Jacó lançará raízes; Israel *Is 35.1-2;Os 14.5-6florescerá e brotará; encherão *Is 4.2de fruto a face do mundo.

7 Porventura, feriu-o Jeová *Is 10.12,17;30.31-33;31.8-9;37.36-38como feriu aos que o feriram? Ou foi ele morto como foram mortos os que o mataram? 8 Quando *Is 50.1;54.7o despediste, castigaste-o com medida; ele removeu-o com o seu assopro impetuoso no dia do *Jr 4.11;Ez 19.12;Os 13.15vento oriental. 9 Portanto, do seguinte modo será *Is 1.25;48.10;Dn 11.35expiada a iniquidade de Jacó, e este será todo o fruto *Rm 11.27de remoção do seu pecado: ele quebrará todas as pedras do *Is 17.8;Êx 34.13;Dt 12.3;2Rs 10.26altar como pedras de cal que são feitas em pedaços, de modo que os Aserins e as imagens do sol não sejam mais levantadas. 10 Pois a cidade fortificada se tornou *Is 5.6,10,17;32.13-14;Jr 26.6,18;Lm 1.4;5.18solitária, morada desamparada e abandonada como o deserto; ali, pastará o bezerro; ali, se deitará e consumirá os seus ramos. 11 Quando as suas *Is 18.5;33.12varas se secarem, serão quebradas; virão as mulheres e lhes atearão fogo. É um povo que *Is 1.3;5.13;Dt 32.28;Jr 8.7não tem entendimento; portanto, *Is 9.17não se compadecerá dele o que *Is 43.1,7;44.2,21,24;Dt 32.18o fez, e não lhe mostrará favor aquele que o formou.

12 Naquele dia, *Is 11.11;17.6;24.13;56.8varejará Jeová desde a inundação do *Gn 15.18rio até o ribeiro do Egito, e vós, filhos de Israel, sereis *Dt 30.3-4;Ne 1.9colhidos um a um.

13 naquele dia, se tocará uma grande *Lv 25.9;1Cr 15.24;Mt 24.31;Ap 11.15trombeta. Virão os que estavam para perecer na terra da *Is 19.24-25Assíria e os que estavam desterrados na terra do Egito, *Is 19.21,23;49.7;66.23;Zc 14.16;Hb 12.22e adorarão a Jeová no monte santo, em Jerusalém.

1 In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.*27.1 piercing: or, crossing like a bar 2 In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine. 3 I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day. 4 Fury is not in me: who would set the briers and thorns against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together.*27.4 go…: or, march against 5 Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me. 6 He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.

7 Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?*27.7 as…: Heb. according to the stroke of 8 In measure, when it shooteth forth, thou wilt debate with it: he stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind.*27.8 it shooteth…: or, thou sendest it forth*27.8 he…: or, when he removeth it with 9 By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.*27.9 images: or, sun images 10 Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof. 11 When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour.

12 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel. 13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
