Promessas àqueles que guardam o sábado

1 Assim diz Jeová: *Is 1.17;33.5;61.8Guardai o juízo e fazei justiça, pois a minha *Is 46.13;51.5;Sl 85.9salvação está prestes a vir, e a minha justiça, prestes a se manifestar. 2 *Sl 112.1;119.1-2Feliz é o homem que faz isso, e o filho do homem *Is 56.6que lança mão disso, que *Is 56.4,6;58.13;Êx 20.8-11;31.13-17;Jr 17.21-22;Ez 20.12,20guarda o sábado para não o profanar e guarda as suas mãos para não praticar mal algum. 3 Não diga o *Is 56.6;14.1;45.14;49.23;Zc 8.20-23estrangeiro que se uniu a Jeová: Certamente, Jeová me separará do seu povo; não diga o *Dt 23.1;Jr 38.7;At 8.27eunuco: Eis que sou uma árvore seca. 4 Pois assim diz Jeová a respeito dos eunucos *Is 56.2,6que guardam os seus sábados, e escolhem as coisas em que me agrado, *Is 56.6e abraçam a minha aliança: 5 Dar-lhes-ei, na minha *Is 56.7;2.2-3;66.20casa e dentro dos meus *Is 26.1;60.18muros, um memorial e um nome melhor do que o de filhos e filhas; dar-lhes-ei um *Is 62.2nome sempiterno, *Is 48.19;55.13que não se apagará.

6 Também os *Is 56.3;60.10;61.5estrangeiros que se unem a Jeová, para o servirem, e amarem o nome de Jeová, a fim de que lhe sejam servos, sim, todos os que *Is 56.2,4guardam o sábado, para que não o profanem, e abraçam a minha aliança; 7 *Is 2.2-3;60.11;Mq 4.1-2a estes, os levarei ao meu *Is 11.9;65.25santo monte e *Is 61.10os alegrarei na minha casa de oração. Os seus *Is 60.7;Rm 12.1holocaustos e os seus sacrifícios serão aceitos sobre o meu altar, porque *Mt 21.13;Mc 11.17;Lc 19.46a minha casa será chamada Casa de Oração para todos os povos. 8 O Senhor Jeová, que *Is 11.12;43.5congrega os dispersos de Israel, diz: Ainda *Is 60.3-11;66.18-21;Jo 10.16outros congregarei a ele, além dos seus que se acham congregados.

As faltas e os crimes de Israel

9 Vós, todos os *Is 18.6;46.11animais do campo, todos os animais do bosque, vinde a devorar. 10 Os seus *Ez 3.17vigias são *Is 29.9-14;Jr 14.13-14cegos, todos eles são sem entendimento; todos são cães mudos que não podem ladrar; sonham, deitam-se, gostam *Na 3.18de dormir. 11 Os cães são *Is 28.7;Ez 13.19;Mq 3.5,11vorazes, nunca podem fartar-se; e estes são pastores que não podem *Is 1.3entender; todos eles *Is 57.17;Jr 22.17declinaram para o seu caminho, cada um para a sua ganância, todos sem exceção. 12 Vinde, trarei *Is 5.11-12,22vinho, e nos encheremos de bebida forte; *Sl 10.6;Lc 12.19-20amanhã será como hoje, dia desmesuradamente grande.

1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.*56.1 judgment: or, equity 2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. 4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; 5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. 6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; 7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. 8 The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.*56.8 beside…: Heb. to his gathered

9 All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest. 10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.*56.10 sleeping: or, dreaming, or, talking in their sleep 11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.*56.11 greedy: Heb. strong of appetite*56.11 can…: Heb. know not to be satisfied 12 Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.
