Ameaças de castigo aos rebeldes

1 *Rm 9.30;10.20;Ef 2.12Fui consultado dos que não perguntavam por mim; fui achado dos que me não buscavam. Eu disse a uma nação que *Os 1.10não se chamava do meu nome: *Is 45.22Eis-me aqui, eis-me aqui. 2 *Rm 10.21Estendi as minhas mãos o dia todo a um *Is 1.2,23;30.1,9povo rebelde, que anda por um caminho que não é bom, após os seus *Is 59.7;66.18;Sl 81.11-12pensamentos; 3 ao povo que, de contínuo, *Is 3.8;Jó 1.11;2.5me provoca diante da minha face, sacrificando nos *Is 1.29;66.17jardins e *Is 66.3queimando incenso sobre os tijolos; 4 que se assenta nos sepulcros e passa a noite em lugares secretos, que *Is 66.3,17;Lv 11.7come carne de porco, e em cujos vasos acha-se caldo de coisas abomináveis; 5 que diz: *Mt 9.11;Lc 7.39;18.9-12Fica-te lá, não te chegues a mim, porque sou mais santo do que tu. Estes são um *Pv 10.26;16.5fumo no meu nariz, um fogo que arde o dia todo. 6 Eis que isso está escrito diante de mim; *Is 42.14;64.12;Sl 50.3,21não me calarei, mas *Sl 79.12;Jr 16.18retribuirei (sim retribuirei no seio deles) 7 as vossas *Is 13.11;22.14;26.21;30.13-14iniquidades e, juntamente, as iniquidades de vossos pais, diz Jeová, os quais *Is 57.7;Os 2.13queimaram incenso sobre os montes e me *Ez 20.27-28blasfemaram sobre os outeiros; portanto, primeiro lhes *Jr 5.29;13.25medirei a recompensa no seu seio.

8 Assim diz Jeová: Como quando se acha o mosto num cacho de uvas e se diz: Não o desperdices, porque nele há uma bênção, assim farei por amor do meu servo, de sorte que eu *Is 1.9;10.21-22;48.9;Am 9.8-9não os destrua a todos. 9 Farei sair de Jacó uma *Is 45.19,25;Jr 31.36-37semente e, de Judá, um *Is 49.8;60.21;Am 9.11-15herdeiro dos meus montes; *Is 57.13os meus escolhidos herdarão a terra, e *Is 32.18os meus servos nela habitarão. 10 *Is 33.9;35.2Sarom servirá de curral de rebanhos, e *Js 7.24,26;Os 2.15o vale de Acor, de um lugar onde se deitam os gados, para os do meu povo *Is 51.1;55.6que me buscaram. 11 Mas, quanto a vós que *Is 1.4,28;Dt 29.24-25deixais a Jeová, que vos esqueceis do meu *Is 2.2-3;66.20santo monte, que preparais uma mesa para a Fortuna e que misturais bebidas para o Destino, 12 destinar-vos-ei à *Is 27.1;34.5-6;66.16espada, e todos vós vos prostrareis diante da *Is 63.6matança, porque, quando chamei, *Is 41.28;50.2;66.4;2Cr 36.15-16;Pv 1.24;Jr 7.13não respondestes; quando falei, não ouvistes, mas fizestes o que era mau aos meus olhos e escolheste aquilo em que eu não tinha prazer.

13 Portanto, assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Eis que os meus servos *Is 1.19;Sl 34.10comerão, mas vós tereis *Is 8.21fome; os meus servos *Is 41.17-18;49.10beberão, mas vós tereis *Is 5.13sede; os meus servos se *Is 61.7;66.14regozijarão, mas vós sereis *Is 42.17;44.9,11;66.5envergonhados; 14 os meus servos *Is 51.11;Sl 66.4;Tg 5.13exultarão pela alegria de coração mas vós *Is 13.6;Mt 8.12chorareis pela tristeza de coração, e uivareis pela vexação de espírito. 15 Deixareis o vosso nome para *Jr 24.9;25.18;Zc 8.13maldição aos meus escolhidos, e o Senhor Jeová te matará; aos seus servos chamarás *Is 62.2;1Pe 2.9-10por outro nome; 16 de modo que o que se abençoar sobre a terra se abençoará no *Êx 34.6;Sl 31.5Deus de verdade; e o que jurar sobre a terra *Is 19.18;45.23jurará pelo Deus de verdade; porque já estão esquecidas *Is 22.5;26.16;37.3;Jr 31.12;Sf 3.14-20as angústias passadas e porque estão escondidas dos meus olhos.

Os novos céus e a nova terra

17 Pois eis que crio uns *Is 66.22;2Pe 3.13céus novos e uma terra nova; e não persistirão na memória *Is 43.18;Jr 3.16as coisas passadas, nem serão elas lembradas. 18 Mas *Is 12.1-2;25.9;35.10;41.16;51.3;61.10;Sl 98alegrai-vos e regozijai-vos para sempre no que eu crio, porque crio a Jerusalém para exultação e ao seu povo, para gozo. 19 *Is 62.4-5;Jr 32.41Exultarei em Jerusalém e folgarei no meu povo; não se ouvirá mais nela voz de *Is 25.8;30.19;35.10;51.11;Ap 7.17;21.4choro nem voz de lamento. 20 Não haverá mais ali criança de dias, nem velho que *Dt 4.40;Jó 5.26;Sl 34.12não tenha enchido os seus dias; porque o menino morrerá de cem anos, *Is 3.11;22.14;Ec 8.12-13e o pecador de cem anos será amaldiçoado. 21 Eles *Is 32.18;Am 9.14edificarão casas e nelas habitarão; *Is 30.23;37.30;Jr 31.5plantarão vinhas e comerão o fruto delas. 22 Não edificarão para que *Is 62.8-9outrem habite; não plantarão para que outrem coma. Pois *Sl 92.12-14como os dias da árvore são os dias do meu povo, e os meus escolhidos *Dt 32.46-47;Sl 21.4;91.16gozarão por longo tempo das obras das suas mãos. 23 *Is 55.2;Dt 28.3-12Não trabalharão debalde, nem gerarão filhos para calamidade, porque são *Is 61.9;Jr 32.38-39;At 2.39a semente dos benditos de Jeová, juntamente com os seus descendentes. 24 Acontecerá que, antes de clamarem eles, *Is 55.6;58.9;Sl 91.15;Dt 9.20-23;10.12eu responderei; e, estando eles ainda falando, eu os ouvirei. 25 *Is 11.6O lobo e o cordeiro se apascentarão juntos, e *Is 11.7o leão comerá palha como o boi; *Gn 3.14;Mq 7.17o pó será a comida da serpente. *Is 11.9;Mq 4.3Eles não farão o mal, nem destruirão em todo o meu *Is 65.11santo monte, diz Jeová.

1 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name. 2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts; 3 A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;*65.3 upon…: Heb. upon bricks 4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;*65.4 broth: or, pieces 5 Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.*65.5 nose: or, anger 6 Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom, 7 Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.

8 Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants’ sakes, that I may not destroy them all. 9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there. 10 And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.

11 But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.*65.11 troop: or, Gad*65.11 number: or, Meni, a pagan god 12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not. 13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed: 14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.*65.14 vexation: Heb. breaking 15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name: 16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.

17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.*65.17 come…: Heb. come upon the heart 18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. 19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. 20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. 21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. 22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.*65.22 shall long…: Heb. shall make them continue long, or, shall wear out 23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. 24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. 25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
