Jó protesta contra a severidade de Deus

1 *Jó 7.16, ref.A minha alma tem tédio à minha vida;

darei livre curso à *Jó 7.11, ref.minha queixa,

falarei na amargura da minha alma.

2 Direi a Deus: *Jó 9.29Não me condenes;

faze-me saber porque contendes comigo.

em rejeitar a *Jó 10.8;14.15;Sl 138.8;Is 64.8obra das tuas mãos

e em favorecer o *Jó 21.16;22.18conselho dos iníquos?

4 Acaso, tens tu olhos de carne

ou *Jó 28.24;34.21;1Sm 16.7vês tu como vê o homem?

5 São os teus dias como os dias do homem

ou *Jó 36.26os teus anos, como os anos do homem,

6 para *Jó 14.16te informares da minha iniquidade

e averiguares o meu pecado?

7 Sabendo tu que *Jó 9.21;13.18eu não sou iníquo,

não há *Jó 9.12;23.13;27.22ninguém que possa livrar da tua mão.

9 Lembra-te, pois, de que, *Jó 4.19;33.6como barro, me fizeste;

10 Porventura, não me vazaste como leite

e não me coalhaste como queijo?

11 De pele e de carne me vestiste

e de ossos e de nervos me teceste.

12 Vida e misericórdia *Jó 33.4me tens concedido,

e a tua providência tem conservado o meu espírito.

13 Contudo, ocultaste *Jó 23.13essas coisas no teu coração;

sei que isso está no teu espírito.

14 Se eu pecar, *Jó 7.20, ref.tu me observas

e *Jó 7.21;9.28não me absolverás da minha iniquidade.

15 *Jó 10.7Se eu for iníquo, ai de mim;

estando farto de ignomínia, e de contemplar a minha aflição.

e multiplicarás a tua indignação sobre mim.

Revezar-se-ão contra mim *Jó 7.1, ref.tropas de males.

18 *Jó 3.11-13Por que, pois, me tiraste da madre?

Eu tivera expirado, e nenhum olho me tivera visto.

19 Eu teria sido como se nunca fora;

da madre teria sido levado para a sepultura.

22 terra escuríssima, como a mesma escuridão,

terra da sombra da morte, sem ordem alguma

e onde a própria luz é escuridão.

I am full of confusion; therefore see thou mine affliction; 16 For it increaseth.
