O cântico de Débora

1 *Êx 15.1Cantaram, naquele dia, Débora e Baraque, filho de Abinoão, dizendo:

*Sl 110.3por se oferecer voluntariamente o povo,

bendizei a Jeová.

3 Ouvi, reis, dai ouvidos, potentados:

*Sl 27.6eu mesma, eu da minha parte cantarei a Jeová,

entoarei hinos a Jeová, Deus de Israel.

4 *Dt 33.2;Sl 68.7;Hb 3.3Jeová, quando saías de Seir,

quando marchavas da região de Edom,

*Sl 68.8-9tremeu a terra, gotejaram os céus,

também as nuvens gotejaram águas.

5 *Êx 19.18;Sl 97.5Os montes se derreteram na presença de Jeová,

*Sl 68.8até o Sinai, na presença de Jeová, Deus de Israel.

6 Nos dias de *Jz 3.31Sangar, filho de Anate,

nos dias de *Jz 4.17Jael cessavam as caravanas,

e andavam os viajantes por atalhos desviados.

7 Cessaram as aldeias em Israel, cessaram,

até que eu, Débora, me levantei,

até que eu me levantei por mãe em Israel.

viu-se, porventura, escudo ou lança

entre quarenta mil em Israel?

9 O meu coração inclina-se para os *Jz 5.2comandantes de Israel,

que se ofereceram voluntariamente entre o povo;

bendizei a Jeová.

10 Contai isso, *Jz 10.4;12.14vós os que cavalgais sobre jumentas brancas,

os que vos assentais sobre ricos tapetes,

e os que andais pelo caminho.

11 Longe do estrondo dos flecheiros, nos *Gn 24.11;29.2-3lugares em que se tira água,

ali falarão da *1Sm 12.7;Mq 6.5justiça de Jeová,

das suas justiças para com as suas aldeias de Israel.

Desceu o povo de Jeová *Jz 5.8às portas.

12 *Sl 57.8Desperta, desperta, Débora:

desperta, desperta, entoa um cântico.

levanta-te, Baraque, e *Sl 68.18;Ef 4.8leva presos os teus cativos, ó filho de Abinoão.

13 Desceu o restante dos nobres e o povo,

*Jz 5.23;Sl 18.9desceu Jeová por mim contra os poderosos.

14 De Efraim… a sua raiz *Jz 12.15em Amaleque;

após de ti, Benjamim…, entre os teus povos.

De Maquir desceram os comandantes,

e, de Zebulom, os que levam o báculo de inspetores de tropas.

15 Os príncipes de Issacar estavam com Débora;

e Issacar… assim Baraque.

Ao vale precipitaram-se *Jz 4.10em suas pegadas,

entre as facções de Rúben havia grandes discussões.

16 Por que te sentaste junto às *Nm 32.1-2,24,36lareiras,

para ouvires os que apitam chamando os rebanhos?

Dã, por que vive ele na vizinhança dos navios?

Aser habitou na costa do Grande Mar,

e deixou-se estar junto aos portos.

como também Naftali, nas alturas do campo.

os reis de Canaã pelejaram então,

em *Jz 1.27Taanaque, junto às águas de Megido;

*Jz 5.30lucro de dinheiro não levaram.

20 *Js 10.12-14Desde os céus pelejaram,

desde as suas órbitas pelejaram as estrelas contra Sísera.

21 Arrastou-os a torrente de Quisom,

a antiga torrente, a torrente de Quisom.

22 *Jó 39.19-25Então, feriram a terra as unhas dos cavalos

no galope desenfreado dos seus ginetes.

23 Amaldiçoai a Meroz, diz o Anjo de Jeová,

amaldiçoai amargamente aos seus habitantes,

*Jz 5.13porque não vieram ao socorro de Jeová,

ao socorro de Jeová, como homens de valor.

24 *Jz 4.19-21Bendita mais que todas as mulheres será Jael,

mulher de Héber, o queneu;

bendita será mais que as mulheres nômades.

25 Água pediu ele, leite lhe deu ela;

numa taça de príncipes ofereceu-lhe coalhada.

26 Estendeu a mão à estaca

e a mão direita, ao martelo dos trabalhadores;

feriu a Sísera, rachou-lhe a cabeça,

furou e traspassou-lhe as fontes.

27 Aos pés dela se encurvou, caiu, ficou estirado;

aos pés dela se encurvou, caiu;

onde se encurvou, ali caiu morto.

e exclamava através da grade:

Por que tarda em vir o seu carro?

Por que se demoram os passos das suas carruagens?

29 As mais sábias das suas damas lhe respondem,

e ela mesma responde a si própria:

A cada homem, uma ou mais donzelas;

para Sísera, despojos de estofos tintos,

despojos de estofos tintos bordados,

um ou mais destes bordados como despojo para os pescoços…?

Between*5.27 dead: Heb. destroyed 28 The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? why tarry the wheels of his chariots? 29 Her wise ladies answered her, yea, she returned answer to herself,*5.29 answer: Heb. her words 30 Have they not sped? have they not divided the prey; to every man a damsel or two; to Sisera a prey of divers colours, a prey of divers colours of needlework, of divers colours of needlework on both sides, meet for the necks of them that take the spoil?*5.30 every…: Heb. the head of a man 31 So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might.
