Bildade sustenta que o homem não pode, sem presunção, justificar-se diante de Deus

1 Então, respondeu Bildade, suíta:

2 A Deus pertence o *Jó 9.4;36.5,22;37.23;42.2domínio e o poder.

Ele faz reinar a paz *Jó 16.19;31.2nas regiões celestes.

3 Acaso, têm número *Jó 16.13, ref.as suas tropas?

E sobre quem não surge a sua luz?

4 Como, pois, pode o homem ser *Jó 4.17;9.2justo diante de Deus?

Ou como pode ser *Jó 14.4puro aquele que nasce de mulher?

5 Eis que até *Jó 31.26a lua não tem brilho,

e *Jó 15.15as estrelas não são puras aos olhos dele.

6 Quanto menos *Jó 7.17, ref.o que é verme!

E o filho do homem, que é *Jó 17.14vermezinho!

1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said, 2 Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places. 3 Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise? 4 How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman? 5 Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight. 6 How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?
