Malaquias 4

1 Pois eis que vem o dia e *Ml 3.2-3;Sl 21.9;Na 1.5-6arde como fornalha; todos os soberbos e todos os que obram impiedade serão como *Is 5.24;Ob 18o restolho; o dia que vem *Is 9.18-19os abrasará, diz Jeová dos Exércitos, de sorte que não lhes deixará nem raiz nem ramo. 2 Mas para vós, os que temeis o meu nome, nascerá *2Sm 23.4;Is 30.26;60.1o sol da justiça, trazendo *Jr 30.17;33.6curas nas suas asas; vós saireis e *Is 35.6saltareis como os bezerros da estrebaria. 3 *Jó 40.12;Is 26.6;Mq 5.8Pisareis os ímpios, pois serão *Ez 28.18cinza debaixo das plantas dos vossos pés no *Ml 3.17dia que eu faço, diz Jeová dos Exércitos.

Admoestação final

4 *Dt 4.23;8.11,19Lembrai-vos da lei de Moisés, meu servo, a qual lhe mandei em Horebe para todo o Israel, a saber, estatutos e juízos. 5 Eis que eu vos enviarei o profeta *Mt 11.14;Mc 9.11-13;Lc 1.17Elias, antes que venha o grande e terrível Dia de Jeová. 6 Ele *Lc 1.17converterá o coração dos pais aos filhos e o coração dos filhos a seus pais, para que eu não venha *Is 11.4;Ap 19.15e fira a terra com anátema.

1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. 3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
