Jó repreende a Bildade e exalta o poder de Deus

1 Então, respondeu Jó:

2 Como sabes ajudar ao que *Jó 6.11-12não tem poder!

Como prestar socorro ao braço *Sl 71.9que não tem força!

3 Que bons conselhos dás ao que não tem sabedoria

e em quão grande cópia revelas o verdadeiro conhecimento!

4 A quem diriges palavras?

E de quem é o espírito que fala em ti?

5 Tremem debaixo das águas

*Jó 3.13, ref.;Sl 88.10os manes e os que ali habitam.

6 *Jó 26.6-14;9.5-10;38.17;41.11O Sheol está nu diante dele,

e *Jó 28.22;31.12Abadom não tem o que lhe cubra.

7 Ele *Jó 9.8, ref.estende o norte sobre o vácuo

e suspende a terra sobre o nada.

8 *Jó 37.11;Pv 30.4Encerra as águas nas suas nuvens grossas

e com elas não se rasga a nuvem.

9 *Jó 22.14;Sl 97.2;105.39Encobre a face do seu trono

e sobre ele estende a sua nuvem.

10 Descreve *Jó 38.8-11;Pv 8.29um limite circular sobre a superfície das águas,

onde *Jó 38.19-20,24a luz e as trevas se confinam.

11 As colunas do céu tremem

E se espantam das suas ameaças.

12 Com o seu poder, *Is 51.15;Jr 31.35agita o mar

e, pelo seu *Jó 12.13, ref.entendimento, traspassa a *Jó 9.13Raabe.

13 Pelo seu sopro, *Jó 9.8os céus são embelezados,

a sua mão fere *Is 27.1a serpente veloz.

14 Eis que essas coisas são somente as bordas dos seus caminhos.

Quão pequeno é o *Jó 4.12sussurro que dele ouvimos!

Porém o *Jó 36.29;37.4-5trovão dos seus grandes feitos, quem o poderá entender?

1 Then Job answered,

2 "How have you helped him who is without power!

How have you saved the arm that has no strength!

3 How have you counseled him who has no wisdom,

and plentifully declared sound knowledge!

4 To whom have you uttered words?

Whose spirit came out of you?

5 "The departed spirits tremble,

those beneath the waters and all that live in them.

6 Sheol * 26:6 Sheol is the place of the dead. is naked before God,

and Abaddon*26:6 Abaddon means Destroyer. has no covering.

7 He stretches out the north over empty space,

and hangs the earth on nothing.

8 He binds up the waters in his thick clouds,

and the cloud is not burst under them.

9 He encloses the face of his throne,

and spreads his cloud on it.

10 He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters,

and to the confines of light and darkness.

11 The pillars of heaven tremble

and are astonished at his rebuke.

12 He stirs up the sea with his power,

and by his understanding he strikes through Rahab.

13 By his Spirit the heavens are garnished.

His hand has pierced the swift serpent.

14 Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways.

How small a whisper do we hear of him!

But the thunder of his power who can understand?"
