Bildade combate as palavras de Jó e justifica a Deus

1 Então, respondeu Bildade, suíta:

2 Até quando falarás tais coisas?

E até quando serão *Jó 6.26, ref.as palavras da tua boca como um vento impetuoso?

3 *Jó 34.10,12;36.23;37.23;Gn 18.25;Dt 32.4;2Cr 19.7;Rm 3.5Perverte Deus o juízo

ou perverte o Todo-Poderoso a justiça?

4 *Jó 1.5,18-19Desde que teus filhos pecaram contra ele,

ele os entregou ao poder da sua transgressão.

5 Se *Jó 5.17-27tu buscares, com empenho, a Deus

e fizeres a tua súplica ao Todo-Poderoso;

6 se fores puro e reto,

Decerto, então, *Jó 22.27;34.28;Sl 7.6despertará para te acudir

e fará *Jó 5.24próspera a habitação da tua justiça.

7 Embora fosse pequeno o teu primeiro estado,

contudo, *Jó 42.12o teu último estado se aumentará em grande maneira.

8 Pois *Jó 15.18;20.4;Dt 4.32;32.7indaga, peço-te, à geração passada

e aplica-te ao que seus pais pesquisaram

9 (Pois nós somos de ontem e nada sabemos,

porque *Jó 14.2os nossos dias sobre a terra são uma sombra.).

10 Não te ensinarão eles, não te falarão?

E do seu coração não proferirão palavras?

11 Pode o papiro desenvolver-se sem lodo?

Pode o junco crescer sem água?

12 Quando está verde e ainda não cortado,

seca-se antes de qualquer outra erva.

13 Assim são as veredas de *Sl 9.17todos os que se esquecem de Deus;

*Jó 11.20;13.16;15.34;20.5;27.8perecerá a esperança do ímpio,

14 cuja segurança se despedaça,

E a sua confiança *Is 59.5-6é teia de aranha.

15 Encostar-se-á à sua *Jó 8.22;27.18;Sl 49.11casa, porém ele não subsistirá;

apegar-se-lhe-á, porém ela não permanecerá.

16 Ele está *Sl 37.35;Jr 11.16verde diante do sol,

e *Sl 80.11os sarmentos estendem-se sobre o seu jardim.

17 As suas raízes entrelaçam-se junto à fonte,

Ele contempla o lugar de pedras.

18 Se for arrancado *Jó 7.10do seu lugar,

então, este o negará, dizendo: *Jó 7.8, ref.Nunca te vi.

19 Eis *Jó 20.5a alegria do seu caminho!

E da terra brotarão outros.

20 Eis que *Jó 4.7Deus não rejeitará ao homem sincero,

nem *Jó 21.30sustentará os malfeitores.

21 Ele ainda te encherá *Jó 5.22;Sl 126.1-2a boca de riso

e os teus lábios, *Sl 132.16de júbilo.

22 Os que te aborrecem serão *Sl 132.18vestidos de vergonha;

e *Jó 8.15;15.34;18.14;21.28a tenda dos iníquos não subsistirá.

1 Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,

2 "How long will you speak these things?

Shall the words of your mouth be a mighty wind?

3 Does God pervert justice?

Or does the Almighty pervert righteousness?

4 If your children have sinned against him,

he has delivered them into the hand of their disobedience.

5 If you want to seek God diligently,

make your supplication to the Almighty.

6 If you were pure and upright,

surely now he would awaken for you,

and make the habitation of your righteousness prosperous.

7 Though your beginning was small,

yet your latter end would greatly increase.

8 "Please inquire of past generations.

Find out about the learning of their fathers.

9 (For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing,

because our days on earth are a shadow.)

10 Shall they not teach you, tell you,

and utter words out of their heart?

11 "Can the papyrus grow up without mire?

Can the rushes grow without water?

12 While it is yet in its greenness, not cut down,

it withers before any other reed.

13 So are the paths of all who forget God.

The hope of the godless man will perish,

14 whose confidence will break apart,

whose trust is a spider’s web.

15 He will lean on his house, but it will not stand.

He will cling to it, but it will not endure.

16 He is green before the sun.

His shoots go out along his garden.

17 His roots are wrapped around the rock pile.

He sees the place of stones.

18 If he is destroyed from his place,

then it will deny him, saying, ‘I have not seen you.’

19 Behold, this is the joy of his way.

Out of the earth, others will spring.

20 "Behold, God will not cast away a blameless man,

neither will he uphold the evildoers.

21 He will still fill your mouth with laughter,

your lips with shouting.

22 Those who hate you will be clothed with shame.

The tent of the wicked will be no more."
