11 Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.


15 and how from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness;

17 so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.


13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.


15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.


24 Jesus said to them, »Is not this why you are wrong, that you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God?


17 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your own steadfastness.

18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.


10 As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you inquired and searched carefully,

11 seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.


4 For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through perseverance and the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.


39 You search the Scriptures, because in them you think that you have eternal life; and these are they that testify of me.
