Sinais do Fim dos Tempos
17 And in the last days it shall be, God says,that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh,and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,and your young men shall see visions,and your old men shall dream dreams;
18 even on my servants, both men and women,I will pour out my Spirit in those days,and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in heaven aboveand signs on the earth below,blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke.
20 The sun will be turned into darknessand the moon into blood,before the great and glorious day of the Lord shall come.
21 And it shall be that everyonewho calls on the name of the Lordwill be saved.
Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
1 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of stress.
2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding a form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid such people.
»But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly like a trap.
For it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Watch at all times, and pray always that you may have strength to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.«
»Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened,and the moon will not give its light;the stars will fall from heaven,and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
15 For this we declare to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.
18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
»But of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
Watch therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.
But know this, that if the owner of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched and would not have let his house be broken into.
Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
8 But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.
9 The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with fire, and the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy lives and godliness,
12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by fire, and the elements will melt with intense heat!
13 But according to his promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.
1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.
2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, »Behold, the dwelling of God is with men. And he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself will be with them;
4 he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away.«
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.«
