Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.

Colossenses 3:20

For God commanded, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’

2 »Honor your father and mother« (which is the first commandment with a promise),

3 »that it may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth.«

4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Efésios 6:1-4

1 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of stress.

2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,

3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,

2 Timóteo 3:1-3

But if a widow has children or grandchildren, they must first learn to practice their religion in regard to their own family and to make some return to their parents; for this is acceptable in the sight of God.

1 Timóteo 5:4

3 He answered them, »And why do you transgress the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

4 For God commanded, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’

5 But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, ‘Whatever help you might have received from me is a gift to God’

6 he is not to honor his father with it. Thus you have made the word of God of no effect for the sake of your tradition.

Mateus 15:3-6
