18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.

28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage! I have overcome the world.«

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamband by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives even to the death.

46 He said to them, »Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.«

5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, for God has said, »I will never leave you, nor will I forsake you.«

57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

37 For with God nothing will be impossible.«

4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

8 He who commits sin is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.

5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

8 Be sober, be alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

9 But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren throughout the world.

10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, establish, and strengthen you.

26 Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,

27 and do not give the devil an opportunity.

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

21 To him who overcomes, I will grant to sit with me on my throne, as I also overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.

3 Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart.

10 Any one whom you forgive, I also forgive. What I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sake in the presence of Christ,

11 in order that Satan might gain no advantage over us; for we are not ignorant of his schemes.

13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

40 When he came to the place, he said to them, »Pray that you may not enter into temptation.«

13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man. And God is faithful, who will not let you be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

22 You were taught, with regard to your former manner of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful lusts;

23 and be renewed in the spirit of your minds,

24 and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

12 Fight the good fight of the faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us,

18 For because he himself has suffered, being tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.

14 But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumph, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.

9 But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction.

19 Behold, I have given you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you.

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.

11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

14 Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 in addition to all this, taking up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God.

12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

13 Let no one say when he is tempted, »I am being tempted by God«; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself does not tempt anyone.

14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own desire.

15 Then when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is full-grown, it brings forth death.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.

4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the worldour faith.

3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.

4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the worldour faith.

5 Who is it that overcomes the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

8 Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.

38 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.«

8 Be sober, be alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

12 I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven youfor his name's sake.

13 I write to you, fathers, because you have known himwho is from the beginning.I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one.

14 I wrote to you, little children, because you have known the Father.I wrote to you, fathers, because you have known himwho is from the beginning.I wrote to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you,and you have overcome the evil one.

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

5 Who is it that overcomes the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never!

16 Or do you not know that he who joins himself to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, »The two shall become one flesh.«

17 But he who unites himself with the Lord is one spirit with him.

18 Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body.

19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

20 you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.

16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh; for these are opposed to each other, so that you may not do what you would.
