Vida

15 And he said to them, »Take heed, and beware of all covetousness; for a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.«

36 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good life let him show his deeds in the humility of wisdom.

25 »Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his span of life?

38 He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.«

10 For, »He who would love lifeand see good daysmust keep his tongue from eviland his lips from speaking deceit.

11 He must turn away from evil and do good;he must seek peace and pursue it.

20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

14 Strive for peace with all men, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

6 Jesus said to him, »I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

3 And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

11 Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you,

12 so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anyone.

35 And Jesus said to them, »I am the bread of life. He who comes to me shall never hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst.

2 Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

7 for we walk by faith, not by sight.

12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

23 Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

34 And he called to him the multitude with his disciples, and said to them, »If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospels will save it.

36 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?

37 Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?

38 For whoever is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man will also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.«

15 Be careful, then, how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise,

16 making the most of your time, because the days are evil.
