1 Now late on the Sabbath day, as it began to dawn toward the first [day] of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.2 And look, an angel appeared. His appearance was as lightning, and his clothing white as snow.3 And the angel said to the women, Don't be{+} afraid; for I know that you{+} seek Jesus, who has been crucified.4 He is not here; for he is risen, even as he said. Come, see the place where he was lying.5 And they departed quickly from the tomb with fear, and fled.
