1 A vós, irmãos, não vos pude falar como a homens espirituais, mas como a carnais, como a criancinhas em Cristo.2 Eu vos dei leite a beber, e não alimento sólido que ainda não podíeis suportar. Nem ainda agora o podeis, porque ainda sois carnais.3 Com efeito, enquanto houver entre vós ciúmes e contendas, não será porque sois carnais e procedeis de um modo totalmente humano?4 Quando, entre vós, um diz: Eu sou de Paulo, e outro: Eu, de Apolo, não é isto modo de pensar totalmente humano?5 Pois que é Apolo? E que é Paulo? Simples servos, por cujo intermédio abraçastes a fé, e isto conforme a medida que o Senhor repartiu a cada um deles:6 eu plantei, Apolo regou, mas Deus é quem fez crescer.7 Assim, nem o que planta é alguma coisa nem o que rega, mas só Deus, que faz crescer.8 O que planta ou o que rega são iguais; cada um receberá a sua recompensa, segundo o seu trabalho.9 Nós somos operários com Deus. Vós, o campo de Deus, o edifício de Deus.10 Segundo a graça que Deus me deu, como sábio arquiteto lancei o fundamento, mas outro edifica sobre ele.11 Quanto ao fundamento, ninguém pode pôr outro diverso daquele que já foi posto: Jesus Cristo.12 Agora, se alguém edifica sobre este fundamento, com ouro, ou com prata, ou com pedras preciosas, com madeira, ou com feno, ou com palha,13 a obra de cada um aparecerá. O dia {do julgamento} demonstrá-lo-á. Será descoberto pelo fogo; o fogo provará o que vale o trabalho de cada um.14 Se a construção resistir, o construtor receberá a recompensa.15 Se pegar fogo, arcará com os danos. Ele será salvo, porém passando de alguma maneira através do fogo.16 Não sabeis que sois o templo de Deus, e que o Espírito de Deus habita em vós?17 Se alguém destruir o templo de Deus, Deus o destruirá. Porque o templo de Deus é sagrado - e isto sois vós.18 Ninguém se engane a si mesmo. Se alguém dentre vós se julga sábio à maneira deste mundo, faça-se louco para tornar-se sábio,19 porque a sabedoria deste mundo é loucura diante de Deus; pois {diz a Escritura} ele apanhará os sábios na sua própria astúcia {Jó 5,13}.20 E em outro lugar: O Senhor conhece os pensamentos dos sábios, e ele sabe que são vãos {Sl 93,11}.21 Portanto, ninguém ponha sua glória nos homens. Tudo é vosso:22 Paulo, Apolo, Cefas, o mundo, a vida, a morte, o presente e o futuro. Tudo é vosso!23 Mas vós sois de Cristo, e Cristo é de Deus.

1 And I, brothers, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, [even] as unto babes in Christ.2 I have fed you with milk, and not with [solid] food, for until now ye were not able [to bear it], neither yet now are ye able.3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas [there is] among you envying and strife and divisions, are ye not carnal and walk as men?4 For while one says, I am of Paul, and another, I [am] of Apollos, are ye not carnal?5 Who then is Paul? and who [is] Apollos? but servants by whom ye believed, each one according [to that which] the Lord gave.6 I have planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.7 So then neither is he that plants anything, neither he that waters, but God that gives the increase.8 Now he that plants and he that waters are one although each one shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.9 For we are labourers together with God; ye are God's husbandry, [ye are] God's building.10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another builds upon it. But let each one see how the building is built.11 For no one can lay another foundation than that laid, which is Jesus the Christ.12 Now if anyone builds upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble,13 the work of each one shall be made manifest, for the day shall declare it because it shall be revealed by fire; the work of each one, whatever sort it is, the fire shall put it to test.14 If the work of anyone abides which he has built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.15 If anyone's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss, but he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire.16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God and [that] the Spirit of God dwells in you?17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God shall destroy that one; for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] ye are.18 Let no one deceive themself. If any one among you seems to be wise in this age, let them become a fool that they may be wise.19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He takes the wise in their own craftiness.20 And again, The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.21 Therefore let no one glory in men. For all things are yours;22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come, all are yours;23 and ye are Christ's; and Christ [is] God's.:
