Con trai của Lê-vi là Ghẹt-sôn, Kê-hát, và Mê-ra-ri. 
Con trai của Kê-hát là Am-ram, Két-sê-ha, Hếp-rôn, và U-xi-ên. 
Con trai của Am-ram là A-rôn, Môi-se và Mi-ri-am. Con trai của A-rôn là Na-đáp, A-bi-hu, Ê-lê -a-sa, và Y-tha-ma. 
Ê-lê -a-sa sanh Phi-nê -a; Phi-nê -a sanh A-bi-sua; 
A-bi-sua sanh Bu-ki, Bu-ki sanh U-xi; 
U-xi sanh Xê-ra-hi-gia; Xê-ra-hi-gia sanh Mê-ra-giốt; 
Mê-ra-giốt sanh A-ma-ria; A-ma-ria sanh A-hi-túp; 
A-hi-túp sanh Xa-đốc; Xa-đốc sanh A-hi-ma-ách; 
A-hi-ma-ách sanh A-xa-ria; A-xa-ria sanh Giô-ha-nan; 
Giô-ha-nan sanh A-xa-ria, là kẻ làm chức tế lễ trong đền vua Sa-lô-môn đã xây ở thành Giê-ru-sa-lem. 
A-xa-ria sanh A-ma-ria; A-ma-ria sanh A-hi-túp; 
A-hi-túp sanh Xa-đốc; Xa-đốc sanh Sa-lum; 
Sa-lum sanh Hinh-kia; Hinh-kia sanh A-xa-ria; 
A-xa-ria sanh Sê-ra-gia; Sê-ra-gia sanh Giê-hô-xa-đác; 
Giê-hô-xa-đác bị bắt làm phu tù khi Đức Giê-hô-va dùng tay Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa mà bắt dẫn dân Giu-đa và Giê-ru-sa-lem đi. 
Con trai của Lê-vi là Ghẹt-sôn, Kê-hát, và Mê-ra-ri. 
Đây là những tên của các con trai Ghẹt-sôn: Líp-ni và Si-mê -i. 
Con trai của Kê-hát là Am-ram, Dít-sê-ha, Hếp-rôn, và U-xi-ên. 
Con trai của Mê-ra-ri là Mách-li và Mu-si. Ay là các họ hàng người Lê-vi theo tông tộc mình.

Con trai của En-ca-na là A-ma-sai và A-hi-mốt. 
Con trai của En-ca-na là Xô-phai; con trai của Xô-phai là Na-hát; 
con trai của Na-hát là Ê-li-áp; con trai của Ê-li-áp là Giê-rô-ham; con trai của Giê-rô-ham là En-ca-na. 
Các con trai của Sa-mu-ên là: Con trưởng nam là Va-sê-ni, con thứ hai A-bi-gia. 
Con trai của Mê-ra-ri là Mách-li, con trai của của Mách-li là Líp-ni; con trai của Líp-ni là Si-mê -i; con trai của Si-mê -i là U-xa; 
con trai của U-xa là Si-mê -a; con trai của Si-mê -a là Ha-ghi-gia; con trai của Ha-ghi-gia là A-sai-gia. 
Sau khi hòm giao ước đã để yên rồi, vua Đa-vít có đặt những kẻ để coi sóc việc hát xướng trong đền Đức Giê-hô-va. 
Chúng hầu việc trước đền tạm về việc hát xướng cho đến khi vua Sa-lô-môn xây xong đền thờ của Đức Giê-hô-va tại Giê-ru-sa-lem: ai nấy đều theo ban thứ mình mà làm việc. 
Đây là những kẻ chầu chực với con trai mình. Trong con cháu Kê-hát có Hê-man là kẻ nhã nhạc, con trai của Giô-ên, Giô-ên con trai của Sa-mu-ên, 
Sa-mu-ên con trai của En-ca-na, En-ca-na con trai của Giê-rô-ham, Giê-rô-ham con trai của Ê-li-ên, Ê-li-ên con trai của Thô -a, 
Thô -a con trai của Xu-phơ, Xu-phơ con trai của En-ca-na, En-ca-na con trai của Ma-hát, Ma-hát con trai của A-ma-sai, 
A-ma-sai con trai của En-ca-na, En-ca-na con trai của Giô-ên, Giô-ên con trai của A-xa-ria, A-xa-ria con trai của Xô-phô-ni, 
Xô-phô-ni con trai của Ta-hát, Ta-hát con trai của At-si, At-si con trai của Ê-bi -a-sáp, Ê-bi -a-sáp con trai của Cô-rê, 
Cô-rê con trai của Dít-sê-ha, Dít-sê-ha con trai của Kê-hát, Kê-hát con trai của Lê-vi, Lê-vi con trai của Y-sơ-ra-ên. 
A-sáp, anh em của Hê-man, chầu chực bên hữu người. A-sáp là con trai của Bê-rê-kia, Bê-rê-kia con trai của Si-mê -a, 
Si-mê -a con trai của Mi-ca-ên, Mi-ca-ên con trai của Ba-sê-gia, Ba-sê-gia con trai của Manh-ki-gia, 
Manh-ki-gia con trai của Et-ni, Et-ni con trai của Xê-ra, Xê-ra con trai của A-đa-gia, 
A-đa-gia con trai của Ê-than, Ê-than con trai của Xim-ma, Xim-ma con trai của Si-mê -i, 
Si-mê -i con trai của Gia-hát, Gia-hát con trai của Ghẹt-sôn, Ghẹt-sôn con trai của Lê-vi. 
Các con cháu của Mê-ra-ri, anh em của chúng, đều chầu chực bên tả, là Ê-than con trai của Ki-si, Ki-si con trai của Ap-đi, Ap-đi con trai của Ma-lúc, 
Ma-lúc con trai của Ha-sa-bia, Ha-sa-bia con trai của A-ma-xia, A-ma-xia con trai của Hinh-kia, 
Hinh-kia con trai của Am-si, Am-si con trai của Ba-ni, Ba-ni con trai của Sê-me, 
Sê-me con trai của Mách-lị, Mách-lị con trai của Mu-si, Mu-si con trai của Mê-ra-ri, Mê-ra-ri con trai của Lê-vi. 
Các anh em chúng, là những người Lê-vi khác, đều được cắt làm mọi việc trong đền tạm của Đức Chúa Trời. 
A-rôn và các con trai người đều dâng của lễ hoặc trên bàn thờ về của lễ thiêu hay trên bàn thờ xông hương, làm mọi việc ở nơi chí thánh, và làm lễ chuộc tội cho Y-sơ-ra-ên, theo như mọi sự Môi-se, đầy tớ Đức Chúa Trời, đã trừ diệt. 
Đây là dòng dõi của A-rôn: Ê-lê -a-sa con trai của A-rôn, Phi-nê -a con trai của Ê-lê -a-sa, A-bi-sua con trai của Phi-nê -a, 
Bu-ki con trai của A-bi-sua, U-xi con trai của Bu-ki, Xê-ra-hi-gia con trai của U-xi, 
Mê-ra-giốt con trai của Xê-ra-hi-gia, A-ma-ria con trai của Mê-ra-giốt, A-hi-túp con trai của A-ma-ria, 
Xa-đốc con trai của A-hi-túp, A-hi-ma-ách con trai của Xa-đốc. 
Nầy là nơi ở của con cái A-rôn, tùy theo nơi đóng trại mình trong địa phận chúng. Họ hàng Kê-hát bắt thăm trước hết. 
Họ phân cấp cho chúng thành Hếp-rôn tại xứ Giu-đa và các cõi bốn phía. 
Song đất ruộng và hương thôn của thành đều ban cho Ca-lép, con trai Giê-phu-nê. 
Lại con cháu A-rôn được những thành ẩn náu, là Hếp-rôn, Líp-na, và địa hạt nó; Gia-tia, Ech-tê-mô -a, và địa hạt nó; 
Hi-lên, với địa hạt nó; Đê-bia, với địa hạt nó; 
A-san, với địa hạt nó; Bết-Sê-mết, với địa hạt nó. 
Bởi từ chi phái Bên-gia-min họ được Ghê-ba, với địa hạt nó; A-lê-mết, với địa hạt nó; A-na-tốt, với địa hạt nó. Các thành của chúng cộng lại được mười ba cái, tùy theo gia tộc họ. 
Con cháu Kê-hát còn lại bắt thăm mà được mười thành trong nửa chi phái Mê-na-se. 
Con cháu Ghẹt-sôn, tùy theo họ hàng, đều được mười ba thành bởi trong chi phái Y-sa-ca, chi phái A-se, chi phái Nép-tha-li, và chi phái Ma-na-se tại đất Ba-san. 
Con cháu Mê-ra-ri, tùy theo gia tộc họ, đều bắt thăm mà được mười hai thành, bởi trong chi phái Ru-bên, chi phái Gát và chi phái Sa-bu-lôn. 
Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên chia cấp cho người Lê-vi các thành ấy và địa hạt nó. 
Họ bắt thăm mà cho bởi trong chi phái Giu-đa, chi phái Si-mê-ôn, và chi phái Bên-gia-min, những thành đã kể ở trên. 
Trong người Kê-hát có mấy nhà đã được những thành bởi trong chi phái Ep-ra-im; 
chúng được những thành ẩn náu, là Si-chem với địa hạt nó, tại trên núi Ep-ra-im, Ghê-xe với địa hạt nó, 
Giốc-mê-am với địa hạt nó, Bết-Hô-rôn với địa hạt nó, 
A-gia-lôn với địa hạt nó, Gát-Rim-môn với địa hạt nó; 
và bởi trong nửa chi phái Mê-na-se họ được A-ne với địa hạt nó, Bi-lê-am với địa hạt nó. Người ta chia cấp các thành ấy cho những người của dòng Kê-hát còn sót lại. 
Con cháu Ghẹt-sôn bởi họ hàng của nửa chi phái Mê-na-se, được Gô-lan ở đất Ba-san với địa hạt nó; Ach-ta-rốt với địa hạt nó; 
bởi chi phái Y-sa-ca, họ được Kê-đe với địa hạt nó; 
Ra-mốt với địa hạt nó; A-nem với địa hạt nó; 
bởi chi phái A-se, họ được Ma-sanh với địa hạt nó; Ap-đôn với địa hạt nó; Hu-cô với địa hạt nó; 
Rê-hốp với địa hạt nó; 
bởi chi phái Nép-ta-li, họ được Kê-đe trong Ga-li-lê, với địa hạt nó; Ham-môn với địa hạt nó; Ki-ria-ta-im với địa hạt nó. 
Con cháu Mê-ra-ri còn sót lại bởi chi phái Sa-bu-lôn được Ri-mô-nô với địa hạt nó; Tha-bô với địa hạt nó; 
còn bên kia sông Giô-đanh về phía đông, đối ngang Giê-ri-cô, bởi chi phái Ru-bên, họ được Bết-se trong rừng với địa hạt nó; Gia-xa với địa hạt nó; 
Kê-đê-mốt với địa hạt nó; Mê-phát với địa hạt nó; 
bởi chi phái Gát, họ được Ra-mốt ở đất Ga-la-át, với địa hạt nó; Ma-ha-na-im với địa hạt nó; 
Hết-bôn với địa hạt nó; Gia-ê-xe với địa hạt nó.

And the sons of Kohath; Amram, Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel. 
And sons of Amram: Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam. And sons of Aaron: Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. 
Eleazar begat Phinehas, Phinehas begat Abishua, 
and Abishua begat Bukki, and Bukki begat Uzzi, 
and Uzzi begat Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begat Meraioth, 
Meraioth begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub, 
and Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Ahimaaz, 
and Ahimaaz begat Azariah, and Azariah begat Johanan, 
and Johanan begat Azariah, him who acted as priest in the house that Solomon built in Jerusalem. 
And Azariah begetteth Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub, 
and Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Shallum, 
and Shallum begat Hilkiah, and Hilkiah begat Azariah, 
and Azariah begat Seraiah, and Seraiah begat Jehozadak; 
and Jehozadak hath gone in Jehovah`s removing Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar. 
Sons of Levi: Gershom, Kohath, and Merari. 
And these [are] names of sons of Gershom: Libni and Shimei. 
And sons of Kohath: Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel. 
Sons of Merari; Mahli and Mushi. And these [are] families of the Levite according to their fathers; 
of Gershom: Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son, 
Joah his son, Iddo his son, Zerah his son, Jeaterai his son. 
Sons of Kohath: Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son, 
Elkanah his son, and Ebiasaph his son, and Assir his son, 
Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Shaul his son. 
And sons of Elkanah; Amasai and Ahimoth. 
Elkanah; sons of Elkanah: Zophai his son, and Nahath his son, 
Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elkanah his son. 
And sons of Samuel: the first-born Vashni, and the second Abijah. 
Sons of Merari: Mahli, Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzzah his son, 
Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, Asaiah his son. 
And these [are] they whom David stationed over the parts of the song of the house of Jehovah, from the resting of the ark, 
and they are ministering before the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, in song, till the building by Solomon of the house of Jehovah in Jerusalem; and they stand according to their ordinance over their service. 
And these [are] those standing, and their sons: of the sons of the Kohathite: Heman the singer, son of Joel, son of Shemuel, 
son of Elkanah, son of Jeroham, son of Eliel, son of Toah, 
son of Zuph, son of Elkanah, son of Mahath, son of Amasai, 
son of Elkanah, son of Joel, son of Azariah, son of Zephaniah, 
son of Tahath, son of Assir, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah, 
son of Izhar, son of Kohath, son of Levi, son of Israel. 
And his brother Asaph, who is standing on his right -- Asaph, son of Berachiah, son of Shimea, 
son of Michael, son of Baaseiah, son of Malchiah, 
son of Ethni, son of Zerah, son of Adaiah, 
son of Ethan, son of Zimmah, son of Shimei, 
son of Jahath, son of Gershom, son of Levi. 
And sons of Merari, their brethren, [are] on the left. Ethan son of Kishi, son of Abdi, son of Malluch, 
son of Hashabiah, son of Amaziah, son of Hilkiah, 
son of Amzi, son of Bani, son of Shamer, 
son of Mahli, son of Mushi, son of Merari, son of Levi. 
And their brethren the Levites are put to all the service of the tabernacle of the house of God. 
And Aaron and his sons are making perfume on the altar of the burnt-offering, and on the altar of the perfume, for all the work of the holy of holies, and to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses servant of God commanded. 
And these [are] sons of Aaron: Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son, 
Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son, 
Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son, 
Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son. 
And these [are] their dwellings, throughout their towers, in their borders, of the sons of Aaron, of the family of the Kohathite, for theirs was the lot; 
and they give to them Hebron in the land of Judah and its suburbs round about it; 
and the field of the city and its villages they gave to Caleb son of Jephunneh. 
And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of refuge: Hebron, and Libnah and its suburbs, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa and its suburbs, 
and Hilen and its suburbs, Debir and its suburbs, 
and Ashan and its suburbs, and Beth-Shemesh and its suburbs. 
And from the tribe of Benjamin, Geba and its suburbs, and Allemeth and its suburbs, and Anathoth and its suburbs. All their cities [are] thirteen cities, for their families. 
And to the sons of Kohath, those left of the family of the tribe, from the half of the tribe, the half of Manasseh, by lot, [are] ten cities. 
And to the sons of Gershom, for their families, from the tribe of Issachar, and from the tribe of Asher, and from the tribe of Naphtali, and from the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities. 
To the sons of Merari, for their families, from the tribe of Reuben, and from the tribe of Gad, and from the tribe of Zebulun, by lot, twelve cities. 
And the sons of Israel give to the Levites the cities and their suburbs. 
And they give by lot from the tribe of the sons of Judah, and from the tribe of the sons of Simeon, and from the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, these cities which they call by name; 
and some of the families of the sons of Kohath have cities of their border from the tribe of Ephraim; 
and they give to them the cities of refuge, Shechem and its suburbs in the hill-country of Ephraim, and Gezer and its suburbs, 
and Jokmeam and its suburbs, and Beth-Horan and its suburbs, 
and Aijalon and its suburbs, and Gath-Rimmon and its suburbs; 
and from the half tribe of Manasseh, Aner and its suburbs, and Bileam and its suburbs, for the family of the sons of Kohath who are left. 
To the sons of Gershom from the family of the half of the tribe of Manasseh [are] Golan in Bashan and its suburbs, and Ashtaroth and its suburbs; 
and from the tribe of Issachar; Kedesh and its suburbs, Daberath and its suburbs, 
and Ramoth and its suburbs, and Anem and its suburbs; 
and from the tribe of Asher; Mashal and its suburbs, and Abdon and its suburbs, 
and Hukok and its suburbs, and Rehob and its suburbs; 
and from the tribe of Naphtali: Kedesh in Galilee and its suburbs, and Hammon and its suburbs, and Kirjathaim and its suburbs. 
To the sons of Merari who are left, from the tribe of Zebulun, [are] Rimmon and its suburbs, Tabor and its suburbs; 
and from beyond the Jordan by Jericho, at the east of the Jordan, from the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness and its suburbs, and Jahzah and its suburbs, 
and Kedemoth and its suburbs, and Mephaath and its suburbs; 
and from the tribe of Gad: Ramoth in Gilead and its suburbs, and Mahanaim and its suburbs, 
and Heshbon and its suburbs, and Jazer and its suburbs.
