Zacarias 3

1 And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. Azután megmutatá nékem Jósuát, a fõpapot, a ki az Úr angyala elõtt álla, és a Sátánt, a ki jobb keze felõl álla, hogy vádolja õt.
2 mapa And the LORD said to Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? És mondá az Úr a Sátánnak: Dorgáljon meg téged az Úr, te Sátán; dorgáljon meg az Úr, a ki magáévá fogadja Jeruzsálemet. Avagy nem tûzbõl kikapott üszög-é ez?
3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. Jósua pedig szennyes ruhába vala öltöztetve, és áll vala az angyal elõtt.
4 And he answered and spoke to those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And to him he said, Behold, I have caused thy iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment. És szóla és monda az elõtte állóknak, mondván: Vegyétek le róla a szennyes ruhákat! És monda néki: Lásd! Levettem rólad a te álnokságodat, és ünnepi ruhákba öltöztetlek téged!
5 And I said, Let them set a fair miter upon his head. So they set a fair miter upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by. Azután mondám: Tegyenek fejére tiszta süveget! Feltevék azért fejére a tiszta süveget, és ruhákba öltözteték õt, az Úrnak angyala pedig [ott] áll vala.
6 And the angel of the LORD protested to Joshua, saying, És bizonyságot tõn az Úrnak angyala Jósuának, mondván:
7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by. Ezt mondja a Seregeknek Ura: Ha az én útaimban jársz, és ha parancsolataimat magtartod: te is ítélõje leszel az én házamnak, sõt õrizni fogod az én pitvaraimat, és ki- s bejárást engedek néked ez itt állók között.
8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH. Halld meg Jósua, te fõpap; te és barátaid, a kik elõtted ülnek, mert jelképes férfiak ezek: Ímé, bizony elõhozom az én szolgámat, Csemetét!
9 For behold, the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes; behold, I will engrave the graving of it saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day. Mert ímé e kõ az, a melyet Jósua elé helyezek; egy kövön hét szem; ímé, én faragom annak faragványait, így szól a Seregeknek Ura, és eltörlöm e földnek álnokságait egy napon.
10 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig-tree. Azon a napon, így szól a Seregeknek Ura, kiki hívja majd a maga felebarátját a szõlõtõ alá és a fügefa alá.
