Deus é amor — esta é a declaração mais profunda da Bíblia sobre a natureza divina. Tudo que Deus faz nasce do amor. Quem permanece no amor permanece em Deus.
A natureza de Deus
Deus é amor. Quem permanece no amor, permanece em Deus e Deus nele. Ele nos amou primeiro com amor eterno.
7 Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God; and every one that loves us a child of God.8 He who does not love, does not know God; for God is love.
10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be a propitiation for our sins.
15 If any man confesses that "Jesus is the Son of God." God is abiding in that man, and he in God.16 And we do know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love; and he who is abiding in love is abiding in God, and God is abiding in him.
19 We love because He loved us first.
16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever trusts in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
O amor de Deus revelado
Deus prova o seu amor em que Cristo morreu por nós quando ainda éramos pecadores. Seu amor é compassivo e eterno.
8 But God gives proof of his love to us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,5 even while we were dead in our trespasses, made us live together with Christ (it is by grace you have been saved).
11 Finally, brothers, farewell. Aim at perfection, take courage, be of one mind, live in peace; so shall the God of love and peace be with you.
