1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

1 O thou that dwellest in the covert of the Most High, and abidest in the shadow of the Almighty;2 I will say of the LORD, who is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust,3 That He will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.4 He will cover thee with His pinions, and under His wings shalt thou take refuge; His truth is a shield and a buckler.

1 And he said: I love thee, O LORD, my strength.2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in Him I take refuge; my shield, and my horn of salvation, my high tower.3 Praised, I cry, is the LORD, and I am saved from mine enemies.

1 Michtam of David. Keep me, O God; for I have taken refuge in Thee.

1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?2 When evil-doers came upon me to eat up my flesh, even mine adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.3 Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise up against me, even then will I be confident.

1 In thee, O LORD, have I taken refuge; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in Thy righteousness.2 Incline Thine ear unto me, deliver me speedily; be Thou to me a rock of refuge, even a fortress of defence, to save me.3 For Thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for Thy name's sake lead me and guide me.4 Bring me forth out of the net that they have hidden for me; for Thou art my stronghold.5 Into Thy hand I commit my spirit; Thou hast redeemed me, O LORD, Thou God of truth.

3 Be Thou to me a sheltering rock, whereunto I may continually resort, which Thou hast appointed to save me; for Thou art my rock and my fortress.

8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.9 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.

5 Only for God wait thou in stillness, my soul; for from Him cometh my hope.6 He only is my rock and my salvation, my high tower, I shall not be moved.7 Upon God resteth my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.8 Trust in Him at all times, ye people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. 17 O my strength, unto Thee will I sing praises; for God is my high tower, the God of my mercy.

1 BOOK IV A Prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, Thou hast been our dwelling-place in all generations.2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever Thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God.

9 The LORD also will be a high tower for the oppressed, a high tower in times of trouble;10 And they that know Thy name will put their trust in Thee; for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee.

7 How precious is Thy lovingkindness, O God! and the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Thy wings.

7 The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that take refuge in Him.

4 For Thou hast been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat; for the blast of the terrible ones was as a storm against the wall.

26 In the fear of the LORD a man hath strong confidence; and his children shall have a place of refuge.

29 The way of the LORD is a stronghold to the upright, but ruin to the workers of iniquity.
