A vossa gentileza seja conhecida de todos. A palavra branda desvia a ira, e a boa conduta atrai os que estão distantes.
1 A soft answer turneth away wrath; but a grievous word stirreth up anger.
24 Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
Gentileza como fruto
O fruto do Espírito inclui bondade e amabilidade. Amem uns aos outros com afeição fraternal e tratem bem a todos.
17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart; thou shalt surely rebuke thy neighbour, and not bear sin because of him.18 Thou shalt not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.
9 'Thus hath the LORD of hosts spoken, saying: Execute true judgment, and show mercy and compassion every man to his brother;10 and oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you devise evil against his brother in your heart.
