Ser imitador de Cristo é o chamado supremo do cristão. Paulo exortou: 'Sede meus imitadores, como eu sou de Cristo.' Fomos criados à imagem de Deus para refletir seu caráter.
Imitar a Cristo
Sede imitadores de Deus como filhos amados. Cristo se esvaziou e se humilhou — esse é o padrão que devemos seguir.
1 Become, then, followers of God, as children beloved,
5 For, let this mind be in you that [is] also in Christ Jesus,6 who, being in the form of God, thought [it] not robbery to be equal to God,7 but did empty himself, the form of a servant having taken, in the likeness of men having been made,8 and in fashion having been found as a man, he humbled himself, having become obedient unto death -- death even of a cross,
1 Followers of me become ye, as I also [am] of Christ.
6 and ye -- ye did become imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much tribulation, with joy of the Holy Spirit,
Criados à imagem de Deus
Deus nos criou à sua imagem e semelhança. Adorar em espírito e verdade é viver refletindo o caráter do Criador.
26 And God saith, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness, and let them rule over fish of the sea, and over fowl of the heavens, and over cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that is creeping on the earth.
24 God [is] a Spirit, and those worshipping Him, in spirit and truth it doth behove to worship.
