Deus é o Deus de todo conforto. Ele consola os que choram, restaura os quebrantados e promete que a dor presente dará lugar à alegria eterna.
O Deus de toda consolação
Bendito seja o Deus e Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, Pai das misericórdias e Deus de toda consolação, que nos consola em todas as tribulações.
24 For He hath not despised nor abhorred the lowliness of the poor; neither hath He hid His face from him; but when he cried unto Him, He heard.'
18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saveth such as are of a contrite spirit.
Promessas de restauração
Deus sarará o quebrantado de coração e atará as suas feridas. Quem semeia em lágrimas, colherá com júbilo.
3 Who healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favour is for a life-time; weeping may tarry for the night, but joy cometh in the morning.
1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and He will sustain thee; He will never suffer the righteous to be moved.
8 Thou has counted my wanderings; put Thou my tears into Thy bottle; are they not in Thy book?
9 The LORD also will be a high tower for the oppressed, a high tower in times of trouble;
2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in Him I take refuge; my shield, and my horn of salvation, my high tower.
Paz e descanso
Jesus disse: 'Vinde a mim, todos os cansados e sobrecarregados, e eu vos aliviarei.' A paz de Deus que excede todo entendimento guarda o coração.
Esperança eterna
Deus enxugará toda lágrima. A dor presente é momentânea, mas a glória futura é eterna. O Senhor transforma luto em dança.
10 Fear thou not, for I am with thee, be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I strengthen thee, yea, I help thee; yea, I uphold thee with My victorious right hand.
1 The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to bring good tidings unto the humble; He hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the eyes to them that are bound;2 To proclaim the year of the LORD'S good pleasure, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the mantle of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called terebinths of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, wherein He might glory.
13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
Nunca sozinhos
Deus nunca nos abandona. Ele está ao nosso lado em cada vale, segura nossa mão e promete que o choro não durará para sempre.
8 And the LORD, He it is that doth go before thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee; fear not, neither be dismayed.'
7 The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that take refuge in Him.
17 The LORD thy God is in the midst of thee, a Mighty One who will save; He will rejoice over thee with joy, He will be silent in His love, He will joy over thee with singing.'
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.
4 One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the graciousness of the LORD, and to visit early in His temple.5 For He concealeth me in His pavilion in the day of evil; He hideth me in the covert of His tent; He lifteth me up upon a rock.
50 This is my comfort in my affliction, that Thy word hath quickened me.
11 So that He setteth up on high those that are low, and those that mourn are exalted to safety.
