Temor dos homens
O temor dos homens é uma armadilha que paralisa a fé. A Bíblia nos convida a trocar o medo humano pela confiança em Deus, que é nosso refúgio e escudo.
Não temas os homens
Deus é a nossa luz e salvação — de quem teremos medo? A Escritura nos encoraja a não temer aqueles que podem destruir o corpo, mas não a alma.
1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When evil-doers came upon me to eat up my flesh, even mine adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.3 Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise up against me, even then will I be confident.
Confiança em Deus acima do medo
Quando tememos a Deus, o medo dos homens perde o poder. O Senhor está conosco, e se Ele é por nós, quem será contra nós?
3 In the day that I am afraid, I will put my trust in Thee.4 In God--I will praise His word--in God do I trust, I will not be afraid; what can flesh do unto me?
6 The LORD is for me; I will not fear; what can man do unto me?
22 Ye shall not fear them; for the LORD your God, He it is that fighteth for you.'
6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though defiers and despisers be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions; be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.
