1 E será que, quando entrares na terra que o Senhor teu Deus te der por herança, e a possuíres, e nela habitares,2 Então tomarás das primícias de todos os frutos do solo, que recolheres da terra, que te dá o Senhor teu Deus, e as porás num cesto, e irás ao lugar que escolher o Senhor teu Deus, para ali fazer habitar o seu nome.3 E irás ao sacerdote, que houver naqueles dias, e dir-lhe-ás: Hoje declaro perante o Senhor teu Deus que entrei na terra que o Senhor jurou a nossos pais dar-nos.4 E o sacerdote tomará o cesto da tua mão, e o porá diante do altar do Senhor teu Deus.5 Então testificarás perante o Senhor teu Deus, e dirás: Arameu, prestes a perecer, foi meu pai, e desceu ao Egito, e ali peregrinou com pouca gente, porém ali cresceu até vir a ser nação grande, poderosa, e numerosa.6 Mas os egípcios nos maltrataram e nos afligiram, e sobre nós impuseram uma dura servidão.7 Então clamamos ao Senhor Deus de nossos pais; e o Senhor ouviu a nossa voz, e atentou para a nossa miséria, e para o nosso trabalho, e para a nossa opressão.8 E o Senhor nos tirou do Egito com mão forte, e com braço estendido, e com grande espanto, e com sinais, e com milagres;9 E nos trouxe a este lugar, e nos deu esta terra, terra que mana leite e mel.10 E eis que agora eu trouxe as primícias dos frutos da terra que tu, ó Senhor, me deste. Então as porás perante o Senhor teu Deus, e te inclinarás perante o Senhor teu Deus,11 E te alegrarás por todo o bem que o Senhor teu Deus te tem dado a ti e à tua casa, tu e o levita, e o estrangeiro que está no meio de ti.12 Quando acabares de separar todos os dízimos da tua colheita no ano terceiro, que é o ano dos dízimos, então os darás ao levita, ao estrangeiro, ao órfão e à viúva, para que comam dentro das tuas portas, e se fartem;13 E dirás perante o Senhor teu Deus: Tirei da minha casa as coisas consagradas e as dei também ao levita, e ao estrangeiro, e ao órfão e à viúva, conforme a todos os teus mandamentos que me tens ordenado; não transgredi os teus mandamentos, nem deles me esqueci;14 Delas não comi no meu luto, nem delas nada tirei quando imundo, nem delas dei para os mortos; obedeci à voz do Senhor meu Deus; conforme a tudo o que me ordenaste, tenho feito.15 Olha desde a tua santa habitação, desde o céu, e abençoa o teu povo, a Israel, e a terra que nos deste, como juraste a nossos pais, terra que mana leite e mel.16 Neste dia, o Senhor teu Deus te manda cumprir estes estatutos e juízos; guarda-os pois, e cumpre-os com todo o teu coração e com toda a tua alma.17 Hoje declaraste ao Senhor que ele te será por Deus, e que andarás nos seus caminhos, e guardarás os seus estatutos, e os seus mandamentos, e os seus juízos, e darás ouvidos à sua voz.18 E o Senhor hoje te declarou que tu lhe serás por seu próprio povo, como te tem dito, e que guardarás todos os seus mandamentos.19 Para assim te exaltar sobre todas as nações que criou, para louvor, e para fama, e para glória, e para que sejas um povo santo ao Senhor teu Deus, como tem falado.

1 And it shall come to pass, when thou art come in unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and thou hast taken possession of it, and dwellest therein:2 That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the soil, which thou shalt bring in from thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket; and thou shalt go unto the place which the Lord thy God will choose to let his name dwell there.3 And thou shalt come unto the priest that may be in those days, and thou shalt say unto him, I give thanks this day unto the Lord thy God, that I am come into the land which the Lord swore unto our fathers to give to us.4 And the priest shall take the basket out of thy hand, and set it down before the altar of the Lord thy God.5 And thou shalt commence and say before the Lord thy God, A Syrian, wandering about, was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a family few in number, and he became there a nation, great, mighty, and numerous.6 And the Egyptians treated us ill, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard labor;7 And then we cried unto the Eternal, the God of our fathers; and the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our trouble, and our oppression;8 And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror, and with signs, and with wonders;9 And he brought us unto this place, and gave unto us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.10 And now, behold, I have brought the first of the fruits of the soil, which thou hast given me, O Lord; and thou shalt set it down before the Lord thy God, and prostrate thyself before the Lord thy God;11 And thou shalt rejoice with every good thing which the Lord thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thy house, thou, with the Levite, and the stranger that is in the midst of thee.12 When thou hast made an end of giving away all the tithe of thy produce in the third year, the year of the tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, to the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, and they have eaten it within thy gates, and are satisfied:13 Then shalt thou say before the Lord thy God, I have removed away the hallowed things out of the house, and I have also given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandment which thou hast commanded me; I have not deviated from thy commandments, and I have not forgotten;14 I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I removed away aught thereof in an unclean state, nor have I given aught thereof for the dead: I have hearkened to the voice of the Lord my God, I have done all, just as thou hast commanded me.15 Look down from the habitation of thy holiness, from the heavens, and bless thy people Israel, and the soil which thou hast given unto us, as thou hast sworn unto our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.16 This day the Lord thy God commandeth thee to do these statutes and ordinances; and thou shalt keep and do them with all thy heart, and with all thy soul.17 Thou hast this day acknowledged the Lord, that he is thy God, and that thou wilt walk in his ways, and keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his ordinances, and hearken unto his voice;18 And the Lord hath acknowledged thee this day, that thou art unto him a peculiar people, as he hath spoken unto thee, and that thou shouldst keep all his commandments;19 So that he may set thee highest above all nations that he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honor; and that thou mayest be a holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.
