1 Depois falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:2 Esta será a lei do leproso no dia da sua purificação: será levado ao sacerdote,3 E o sacerdote sairá fora do arraial, e o sacerdote o examinará, e eis que, se a praga da lepra do leproso for sarada,4 Então o sacerdote ordenará que por aquele que se houver de purificar se tomem duas aves vivas e limpas, e pau de cedro, e carmesim, e hissopo.5 Mandará também o sacerdote que se degole uma ave num vaso de barro sobre águas vivas,6 E tomará a ave viva, e o pau de cedro, e o carmesim, e o hissopo, e os molhará, com a ave viva, no sangue da ave que foi degolada sobre as águas correntes.7 E sobre aquele que há de purificar-se da lepra aspergirá sete vezes; então o declarará por limpo, e soltará a ave viva sobre a face do campo.8 E aquele que tem de purificar-se lavará as suas vestes, e rapará todo o seu pelo, e se lavará com água; assim será limpo; e depois entrará no arraial, porém, ficará fora da sua tenda por sete dias;9 E será que ao sétimo dia rapará todo o seu pelo, a sua cabeça, e a sua barba, e as sobrancelhas; sim, rapará todo o pelo, e lavará as suas vestes, e lavará a sua carne com água, e será limpo,10 E ao oitavo dia tomará dois cordeiros sem defeito, e uma cordeira sem defeito, de um ano, e três dízimas de flor de farinha para oferta de alimentos, amassada com azeite, e um logue de azeite;11 E o sacerdote que faz a purificação apresentará o homem que houver de purificar-se, com aquelas coisas, perante o Senhor, à porta da tenda da congregação.12 E o sacerdote tomará um dos cordeiros, e o oferecerá por expiação da culpa, e o logue de azeite; e os oferecerá por oferta movida perante o Senhor.13 Então degolará o cordeiro no lugar em que se degola a oferta da expiação do pecado e o holocausto, no lugar santo; porque quer a oferta da expiação da culpa como a da expiação do pecado é para o sacerdote; coisa santíssima é.14 E o sacerdote tomará do sangue da expiação da culpa, e o sacerdote o porá sobre a ponta da orelha direita daquele que tem de purificar-se e sobre o dedo polegar da sua mão direita, e no dedo polegar do seu pé direito.15 Também o sacerdote tomará do logue de azeite, e o derramará na palma da sua própria mão esquerda.16 Então o sacerdote molhará o seu dedo direito no azeite que está na sua mão esquerda, e daquele azeite com o seu dedo aspergirá sete vezes perante o Senhor;17 E o restante do azeite, que está na sua mão, o sacerdote porá sobre a ponta da orelha direita daquele que tem de purificar-se, e sobre o dedo polegar da sua mão direita, e sobre o dedo polegar do seu pé direito, em cima do sangue da expiação da culpa;18 E o restante do azeite que está na mão do sacerdote, o porá sobre a cabeça daquele que tem de purificar-se; assim o sacerdote fará expiação por ele perante o Senhor.19 Também o sacerdote fará a expiação do pecado, e fará expiação por aquele que tem de purificar-se da sua imundícia; e depois degolará o holocausto;20 E o sacerdote oferecerá o holocausto e a oferta de alimentos sobre o altar; assim o sacerdote fará expiação por ele, e será limpo.21 Porém se for pobre, e em sua mão não houver recursos para tanto, tomará um cordeiro para expiação da culpa em oferta de movimento, para fazer expiação por ele, e a dízima de flor de farinha, amassada com azeite, para oferta de alimentos, e um logue de azeite,22 E duas rolas, ou dois pombinhos, conforme as suas posses, dos quais um será para expiação do pecado, e o outro para holocausto.23 E ao oitavo dia da sua purificação os trará ao sacerdote, à porta da tenda da congregação, perante o Senhor.24 E o sacerdote tomará o cordeiro da expiação da culpa, e o logue de azeite, e os oferecerá por oferta movida perante o Senhor.25 Então degolará o cordeiro da expiação da culpa, e o sacerdote tomará do sangue da expiação da culpa, e o porá sobre a ponta da orelha direita daquele que tem de purificar-se, e sobre o dedo polegar da sua mão direita, e sobre o dedo polegar do seu pé direito.26 Também o sacerdote derramará do azeite na palma da sua própria mão esquerda.27 Depois o sacerdote com o seu dedo direito aspergirá do azeite que está na sua mão esquerda, sete vezes perante o Senhor.28 E o sacerdote porá do azeite que está na sua mão na ponta da orelha direita daquele que tem de purificar-se, e no dedo polegar da sua mão direita, e no dedo polegar do seu pé direito; no lugar do sangue da expiação da culpa.29 E o que sobejar do azeite que está na mão do sacerdote porá sobre a cabeça daquele que tem de purificar-se, para fazer expiação por ele perante o Senhor.30 Depois oferecerá uma das rolas ou um dos pombinhos, conforme suas posses,31 Sim, conforme as suas posses, será um para expiação do pecado e o outro para holocausto com a oferta de alimentos; e assim o sacerdote fará expiação por aquele que tem de purificar-se perante o Senhor.32 Esta é a lei daquele em quem estiver a praga da lepra, cujas posses não lhe permitirem o devido para purificação.33 Falou mais o Senhor a Moisés e a Arão, dizendo:34 Quando tiverdes entrado na terra de Canaã que vos hei de dar por possessão, e eu enviar a praga da lepra em alguma casa da terra da vossa possessão,35 Então aquele, de quem for a casa, virá e informará ao sacerdote, dizendo: Parece-me que há como que praga em minha casa.36 E o sacerdote ordenará que desocupem a casa, antes que entre para examinar a praga, para que tudo o que está na casa não seja contaminado; e depois entrará o sacerdote, para examinar a casa;37 E, vendo a praga, e eis que se ela estiver nas paredes da casa em covinhas verdes ou vermelhas, e parecerem mais fundas do que a parede,38 Então o sacerdote sairá da casa para fora da porta, e fechará a casa por sete dias.39 Depois, ao sétimo dia o sacerdote voltará, e examinará; e se vir que a praga nas paredes da casa se tem estendido,40 Então o sacerdote ordenará que arranquem as pedras, em que estiver a praga, e que as lancem fora da cidade, num lugar imundo;41 E fará raspar a casa por dentro ao redor, e o pó que houverem raspado lançarão fora da cidade, num lugar imundo;42 Depois tomarão outras pedras, e as porão no lugar das primeiras pedras; e outro barro se tomará, e a casa se rebocará.43 Porém, se a praga tornar a brotar na casa, depois de arrancadas as pedras e raspada a casa, e de novo rebocada,44 Então o sacerdote entrará e examinará, se a praga na casa se tem estendido, lepra roedora há na casa; imunda está.45 Portanto se derribará a casa, as suas pedras, e a sua madeira, como também todo o barro da casa; e se levará para fora da cidade a um lugar imundo.46 E o que entrar naquela casa, em qualquer dia em que estiver fechada, será imundo até à tarde.47 Também o que se deitar a dormir em tal casa, lavará as suas roupas; e o que comer em tal casa lavará as suas roupas.48 Porém, tornando o sacerdote a entrar na casa e examinando-a, se a praga não se tem estendido na casa, depois que a casa foi rebocada, o sacerdote a declarará por limpa, porque a praga está curada.49 Depois tomará, para expiar a casa, duas aves, e pau de cedro, e carmesim e hissopo;50 E degolará uma ave num vaso de barro sobre águas correntes;51 Então tomará pau de cedro, e o hissopo, e o carmesim, e a ave viva, e os molhará no sangue da ave degolada e nas águas correntes, e aspergirá a casa sete vezes;52 Assim expiará aquela casa com o sangue da ave, e com as águas correntes, e com a ave viva, e com o pau de cedro, e com o hissopo, e com o carmesim.53 Então soltará a ave viva para fora da cidade, sobre a face do campo; assim fará expiação pela casa, e será limpa.54 Esta é a lei de toda a praga da lepra, e da tinha,55 E da lepra das roupas, e das casas,56 E da inchação, e das pústulas, e das manchas lustrosas;57 Para ensinar quando alguma coisa será imunda, e quando será limpa. Esta é a lei da lepra.

1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,2 This shall be the law of the leper on the day of his being cleansed: He shall be brought unto the priest.3 And the priest shall go forth to without the camp; and if the priest see, and, behold, the plague of leprosy be healed on the leper:4 Then shall the priest command to take for him that is to be cleansed two healthy, clean birds, and cedar wood, and a string of scarlet yarn, and hyssop.5 And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water.6 As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the string of scarlet yarn, and the hyssop, and he shall dip these and the living bird into the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water:7 And he shall sprinkle upon him that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times; and when he hath cleansed him, he shall let the living bird fly forth into the open field.8 And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, and he shall be clean, and after that he may come into the camp; but he shall tarry outside of his tent seven days.9 And it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave off all his hair, his head, and his beard, and his eyebrows, even all his hair shall he shave off: and he shall wash his clothes, he shall also wash his flesh in water, when he shall be clean.10 And on the eighth day he shall take two sheep without blemish, and one ewe of the first year without blemish, and three–tenth parts of fine flour for a meat–offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil.11 And the priest who cleanseth shall cause the man that is to be made clean, and these things, to stand before the Lord, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:12 And the priest shall take the one sheep, and offer the same for a trespass–offering, with the log of oil; and he shall make with them a waving before the Lord.13 And he shall slay the sheep on the place where the sin–offering and the burnt–offering are killed, in the holy place; for as the sin–offering so doth the trespass–offering belong to the priest: it is most holy.14 And the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass–offering; and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.15 And the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand.16 And the priest shall dip his finger of the right hand in the oil that is in his left hand, and he shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before the Lord.17 And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass–offering.18 And what is left of the oil that is in the priest’s hand, he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall thus make an atonement for him before the Lord.19 And the priest shall prepare the sin–offering, and make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed from his uncleanness; and afterward shall he kill the burnt–offering:20 And the priest shall offer the burnt–offering and the meat–offering upon the altar; and the priest shall thus make an atonement for him, and he shall be clean.21 But if he be poor, and his means do not suffice, then shall he take one sheep for a trespass–offering to be waved, to make an atonement for him; and one–tenth part of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat–offering, and a log of oil;22 And two turtle–doves, or two young pigeons, for which his means suffice; and one shall be a sin–offering, and the other a burnt–offering.23 And he shall bring them on the eighth day of his being cleansed unto the priest, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, before the Lord.24 And the priest shall take the sheep of the trespass–offering, and the log of oil; and the priest shall make with them a waving before the Lord.25 And he shall kill the sheep of the trespass–offering; and the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass–offering, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.26 And some of the oil shall the priest pour into the palm of his own left hand:27 And the priest shall sprinkle with his finger of the right hand some of the oil that is in his left hand, seven times before the Lord;28 And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot; upon the place of the blood of the trespass–offering;29 And what is left of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make an atonement for him before the Lord.30 And he shall offer the one of the turtle–doves, or of the young pigeons, from what his means enable him to bring;31 Even what his means enable him, the one for a sin–offering, and the other for a burnt–offering, with the meat–offering: and the priest shall thus make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed, before the Lord.32 This is the law of him on whom is the plague of leprosy, whose means are not sufficient when he is cleansed.33 And the Lord spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,34 When ye come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put the plague of leprosy on a house of the land of your possession:35 Then shall he that owneth the house come and tell the priest, saying, Something like a leprosy hath shown itself to me in the house.36 And the priest shall command that they clear out the house, before the priest go into it to see the plague, that all be not made unclean that is in the house: and after this shall the priest go in to see the house.37 And he shall view the plague, and, behold, if the plague be in the walls of the house, in depressions, dark green or dark red, and their appearance be deeper than the wall:38 Then shall the priest go out of the house to the door of the house, and lock up the house seven days.39 And the priest shall come again on the seventh day; and if he see, that, behold, the plague have spread in the walls of the house:40 Then shall the priest command that they break out the stones on which the plague is; and they shall cast them forth without the city on an unclean place.41 And the house he shall cause to be scraped within round about; and they shall pour out the rubbish that they have scraped off without the city on an unclean place.42 And they shall take other stones, and put them into the place of these stones; and other mortar shall he take, and shall plaster the house.43 And if the plague come again, and break out in the house, after he hath taken away the stones, and after the house hath been scraped, and after it hath been plastered:44 Then shall the priest come; and if he see that, behold, the plague have spread in the house, it is a corrosive leprosy in the house; it is unclean.45 And he shall break down the house, its stones, and the timbers thereof, and all the mortar of the house; and he shall carry them forth to without the city, unto an unclean place.46 And he that goeth into the house, all the days that it is locked up, shall be unclean until the evening.47 And he that lieth in the house shall wash his clothes; and he that eateth in the house shall wash his clothes.48 But if the priest should come in, and see, and, behold, the plague have not spread in the house, after the house was plastered: then shall the priest pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.49 And he shall take, to atone for the house, two birds, and cedar wood, and a string of scarlet yarn, and hyssop;50 And he shall kill the one bird in an earthen vessel over running water;51 And he shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet yarn, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle on the house seven times:52 And he shall atone for the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the string of scarlet yarn;53 But he shall let fly forth the living bird out of the city into the open field, and make thus an atonement for the house, and it shall be clean.54 This is the law for all manner of plague of leprosy, and scall,55 And for the leprosy of a garment and of a house,56 And for a swelling, and for a rising, and for a bright spot;57 To teach on the day when something is unclean, and on the day when it is clean: this is the law of the leprosy.
