1 And thou shalt make an altar to burn incense upon: of acacia wood shalt thou make it. 2 A cubit shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof; foursquare shall it be; and two cubits shall be the height thereof: the horns thereof shall be of one piece with it. 3 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, the top thereof, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns thereof; and thou shalt make unto it a crown of gold round about. 4 And two golden rings shalt thou make for it under the crown thereof; upon the two ribs thereof, upon the two sides of it shalt thou make them; and they shall be for places for staves wherewith to bear it. 5 And thou shalt make the staves of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold. 6 And thou shalt put it before the veil that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy-seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with thee. 7 And Aaron shall burn thereon incense of sweet spices: every morning, when he dresseth the lamps, he shall burn it. 8 And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn it, a perpetual incense before Jehovah throughout your generations. 9 Ye shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt-offering, nor meal-offering; and ye shall pour no drink-offering thereon. 10 And Aaron shall make atonement upon the horns of it once in the year; with the blood of the sin-offering of atonement once in the year shall he make atonement for it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto Jehovah.

11 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 12 When thou takest the sum of the children of Israel, according to those that are numbered of them, then shall they give every man a ransom for his soul unto Jehovah, when thou numberest them; that there be no plague among them, when thou numberest them. 13 This they shall give, every one that passeth over unto them that are numbered, half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary; (the shekel is twenty gerahs), half a shekel for an offering to Jehovah. 14 Every one that passeth over unto them that are numbered, from twenty years old and upward, shall give the offering of Jehovah. 15 The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less, than the half shekel, when they give the offering of Jehovah, to make atonement for your souls. 16 And thou shalt take the atonement money from the children of Israel, and shalt appoint it for the service of the tent of meeting; that it may be a memorial for the children of Israel before Jehovah, to make atonement for your souls.

17 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 18 Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and the base thereof of brass, whereat to wash. And thou shalt put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein. 19 And Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat: 20 when they go into the tent of meeting, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn an offering made by fire unto Jehovah. 21 So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations.

22 Moreover Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 23 Take thou also unto thee the chief spices: of flowing myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty, 24 and of cassia five hundred, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of olive oil a hin; 25 and thou shalt make it a holy anointing oil, a perfume compounded after the art of the perfumer: it shall be a holy anointing oil. 26 And thou shalt anoint therewith the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony, 27 and the table and all the vessels thereof, and the candlestick and the vessels thereof, and the altar of incense, 28 and the altar of burnt-offering with all the vessels thereof, and the laver and the base thereof. 29 And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy. 30 And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office. 31 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be a holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations. 32 Upon the flesh of man shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any like it, according to the composition thereof: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you. 33 Whosoever compoundeth any like it, or whosoever putteth any of it upon a stranger, he shall be cut off from his people.

34 And Jehovah said unto Moses, Take unto thee sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum; sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each shall there be a like weight; 35 and thou shalt make of it incense, a perfume after the art of the perfumer, seasoned with salt, pure and holy: 36 and thou shalt beat some of it very small, and put of it before the testimony in the tent of meeting, where I will meet with thee: it shall be unto you most holy. 37 And the incense which thou shalt make, according to the composition thereof ye shall not make for yourselves: it shall be unto thee holy for Jehovah. 38 Whosoever shall make like unto that, to smell thereof, he shall be cut off from his people.

Coarnele altarului să fie dintr-o bucată cu el. 3 Să-i poleiești cu aur curat atât partea de sus, cât și pereții lui de jur împrejur și coarnele și să-i faci o cunună de aur de jur împrejur. 4 Dedesubtul cununii, să-i faci două verigi de aur, de amândouă laturile, în cele două unghiuri, pentru punerea drugilor care vor sluji la ducerea lui. 5 Drugii să-i faci din lemn de salcâm și să-i poleiești cu aur. 6 Să așezi altarul în fața perdelei dinăuntru, care este înaintea chivotului mărturiei, în fața capacului*Cap. 25:21,22. ispășirii, care este deasupra mărturiei și unde Mă voi întâlni cu tine. 7 Aaron va arde pe el tămâie*Vers. 34.1 Sam. 2:28.1 Cron. 23:13.Luca 1:9. mirositoare; va arde tămâie în fiecare dimineață, când va*Cap. 27:21. pregăti candelele; 8 va arde și seara când va așeza candelele. Astfel se va arde necurmat din partea voastră tămâie înaintea Domnului din neam în neam. 9 Să nu aduceți pe altar altfel*Lev. 10:1. de tămâie, nici ardere-de-tot, nici jertfă de mâncare și să nu turnați pe el nicio jertfă de băutură. 10 Numai o dată pe fiecare an, Aaron*Lev. 16:18;23:27. va face ispășire pe coarnele altarului. Ispășirea aceasta o va face o dată pe an cu sângele dobitocului adus ca jertfă pentru ispășirea păcatului, printre urmașii voștri. Acesta va fi un lucru preasfânt înaintea Domnului."

11 Domnul a vorbit lui Moise și a zis: 12 „Când*Cap. 38:25.Num. 1:2,5;26:2.2 Sam. 24:2. vei socoti pe copiii lui Israel și le vei face numărătoarea, fiecare din ei să dea Domnului un dar în bani pentru răscumpărarea*Num. 31:50.Iov 33:24;36:18.Ps. 49:7.Mat. 20:28.Marcu 10:45.1 Tim. 2:6.1 Pet. 1:18,19. sufletului lui, ca să nu fie loviți de nicio urgie*2 Sam. 24:15., cu prilejul acestei numărători. 13 Iată ce*Mat. 17:24. vor da toți cei ce vor fi cuprinși în numărătoarea aceasta: o jumătate de siclu, după siclul Sfântului Locaș, care este*Lev. 27:25.Num. 3:47.Ezec. 45:12. de douăzeci de ghere; o jumătate*Cap. 38:26. de siclu va fi darul ridicat pentru Domnul. 14 Orice om cuprins în numărătoare, de la vârsta de douăzeci de ani în sus, va plăti darul ridicat pentru Domnul. 15 Bogatul*Iov 34:19.Prov. 22:2.Efes. 6:9.Col. 3:25. să nu plătească mai mult și săracul să nu plătească mai puțin de o jumătate de siclu ca dar ridicat pentru Domnul, pentru răscumpărarea*Vers. 12. sufletelor. 16 Să ridici de la copiii lui Israel argintul pentru răscumpărare și să-l întrebuințezi*Cap. 18:25. pentru slujba cortului întâlnirii; aceasta va fi pentru copiii lui Israel o aducere aminte*Num. 16:40. înaintea Domnului pentru răscumpărarea sufletelor lor."

17 Domnul a vorbit lui Moise și a zis: 18 „Să faci*Cap. 38:8.1 Împ. 7:38. un lighean de aramă, cu piciorul lui de aramă, pentru spălat; să-l așezi între cortul*Cap. 40:7,30. întâlnirii și altar și să torni apă în el, 19 ca să-și spele în el Aaron*Cap. 40:31,32.Ps. 26:6.Is. 52:11.Ioan 13:10.Evr. 10:22. și fiii lui mâinile și picioarele. 20 Când vor intra în cortul întâlnirii, se vor spăla cu apa aceasta, ca să nu moară, și se vor spăla și când se vor apropia de altar, ca să facă slujba și ca să aducă Domnului jertfe arse de foc. 21 Își vor spăla mâinile și picioarele ca să nu moară*Cap. 28:43.. Aceasta va fi o lege necurmată pentru Aaron, pentru fiii lui și pentru urmașii lor."

22 Domnul a vorbit lui Moise și a zis: 23 „Ia*Cânt. 4:14.Ezec. 27:22. din cele mai bune mirodenii, cinci sute de sicli de smirnă*Ps. 45:8.Prov. 7:17. foarte curată, jumătate, adică două sute cincizeci de sicli, de scorțișoară mirositoare, două sute cincizeci de sicli de trestie*Cânt. 4:14.Ier. 6:20. mirositoare, 24 cinci sute de sicli de*Ps. 45:8. casia, după siclul Sfântului Locaș, și un hin*Cap. 29:40. de untdelemn de măsline. 25 Cu ele să faci un untdelemn pentru ungerea sfântă, o amestecătură mirositoare, făcută după meșteșugul făcătorului de mir; acesta va fi untdelemnul*Cap. 37:29.Num. 35:25.Ps. 89:20;133:2. pentru ungerea sfântă. 26 Cu el să ungi*Cap. 40:9.Lev. 8:10.Num. 7:1. cortul întâlnirii și chivotul mărturiei, 27 masa și toate uneltele ei, sfeșnicul și uneltele lui, altarul tămâierii, 28 altarul arderilor-de-tot, cu toate uneltele lui, și ligheanul cu piciorul lui. 29 Să sfințești aceste lucruri, și ele vor fi preasfinte; oricine*Cap. 29:37. se va atinge de ele va fi sfințit. 30 Să ungi*Cap. 29:7.Lev. 8:12,30., de asemenea, pe Aaron și pe fiii lui și să-i sfințești, ca să fie în slujba Mea ca preoți. 31 Să vorbești copiilor lui Israel și să le spui: ‘Acesta Îmi va fi untdelemnul pentru ungerea sfântă, printre urmașii voștri. 32 Să nu se ungă cu el trupul niciunui om și să nu faceți un alt untdelemn ca el după aceeași întocmire; el este*Vers. 25,37. sfânt, și voi să-l priviți ca sfânt. 33 Oricine*Vers. 38.Gen. 17:14. Cap. 12:15.Lev. 7:20,21. va face un untdelemn ca el sau va unge cu el pe altul va fi nimicit din poporul lui.’" 34 Domnul a zis lui Moise: „Ia*Cap. 25:6;37:29. mirodenii, stacte, onice mirositoare, halvan și tămâie curată în aceeași măsură. 35 Cu ele să faci tămâie, o amestecătură mirositoare, alcătuită*Vers. 25. după meșteșugul făcătorului de mir; să fie sărată, curată și sfântă. 36 S-o pisezi mărunt și s-o pui înaintea mărturiei, în cortul întâlnirii, unde*Cap. 29:42.Lev. 16:2. Mă voi întâlni cu tine. Acesta va fi pentru voi un lucru*Vers. 32. Cap. 29:37.Lev. 2:3. preasfânt. 37 Tămâie ca aceasta, în aceeași întocmire, să nu*Vers. 32. vă faceți, ci s-o priviți ca sfântă și păstrată pentru Domnul. 38 Oricine*Vers. 33. va face tămâie ca ea ca s-o miroasă va fi nimicit din poporul lui."
