A Psalm of David.

1 Jehovah is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;

He leadeth me beside still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul:

He guideth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil; for thou art with me;

Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:

Thou hast anointed my head with oil;

My cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and lovingkindness shall follow me all the days of my life;

And I shall dwell in the house of Jehovah for ever.

2 El mă paște în*Ezec. 34:14. pășuni verzi

și mă duce la*Apoc. 7:17. ape de odihnă;

3 îmi înviorează sufletul

și mă*Ps. 5:8;31:3.Prov. 8:20. povățuiește pe cărări drepte

din pricina Numelui Său.

4 Chiar dacă ar fi să umblu prin valea umbrei*Iov 3:5;10:21,22;24:17.Ps. 44:19. morții,

nu mă tem de*Ps. 3:6;27:1;118:6. niciun rău, căci*Is. 43:2. Tu ești cu mine.

Toiagul și nuiaua Ta mă mângâie.

5 Tu*Ps. 104:15. îmi întinzi masa în fața potrivnicilor mei,

îmi ungi capul cu untdelemn*Ps. 92:10.

și paharul meu este plin de dă peste el.

6 Da, fericirea și îndurarea mă vor însoți

în toate zilele vieții mele

și voi locui în Casa Domnului până la sfârșitul zilelor mele.
