1 Ora, estes são os filhos da província que subiram do cativeiro, dentre os exilados, aos quais Nabucodonosor, o rei de Babilônia, havia levado consigo para Babilônia, e retornaram para Jerusalém e Judá, cada um para a sua cidade;
2 os quais vieram com Zorobabel, Jesuá, Neemias, Seraías, Reelaías, Mardoqueu, Bilsã, Mispar, Bigvai, Reum, e Baaná. O número dos homens do povo de Israel:
3 Os filhos de Parós: dois mil cento e setenta e dois.
4 Os filhos de Sefatias: trezentos e setenta e dois.
5 Os filhos de Ará: setecentos e setenta e cinco.
6 Os filhos de Paate-Moabe, dos filhos de Jesuá e Joabe: dois mil oitocentos e doze.
7 Os filhos de Elão: mil duzentos e cinquenta e quatro.
8 Os filhos de Zatu: novecentos e quarenta e cinco.
9 Os filhos de Zacai: setecentos e sessenta.
10 Os filhos de Bani: seiscentos e quarenta e dois.
11 Os filhos de Bebai: seiscentos e vinte e três.
12 Os filhos de Azgade: mil duzentos e vinte e dois.
13 Os filhos de Adonicão: seiscentos e sessenta e seis.
14 Os filhos de Bigvai: dois mil e cinquenta e seis.

16 Os filhos de Ater, de Ezequias: noventa e oito.

45 os filhos de Lebana, os filhos de Hagaba, os filhos de Acube,

51 os filhos de Baquebuque, os filhos de Hacufa, os filhos de Harur,
52 os filhos de Baslute, os filhos de Meida, os filhos de Harsa,
53 os filhos de Barcos, os filhos de Sísera, os filhos de Temá,
54 os filhos de Nesias, os filhos de Hatifa.
55 Os filhos dos servos de Salomão: os filhos de Sotai, os filhos de Soferete, os filhos de Peruda,
56 os filhos de Jaala, os filhos de Darcom, os filhos de Gidel,
57 os filhos de Sefatias, os filhos de Hatil, os filhos de Poquerete-Hazebaim, os filhos de Ami.
58 Todos os netineus e os filhos dos servos de Salomão, eram trezentos e noventa e dois.
59 E estes foram aqueles que subiram de Tel-Melá, Tel-Harsa, Querube, Adã e Imer; porém não puderam provar que a casa de seu pai, e a sua semente eram de Israel:
60 Os filhos de Delaías, os filhos de Tobias, os filhos de Necoda: seiscentos e cinquenta e dois.
61 E dos filhos dos sacerdotes: os filhos de Habaías, os filhos de Coz, os filhos de Barzilai; o qual tomou uma esposa das filhas de Barzilai, o gileadita, e foi chamado do seu nome;
62 estes buscaram o seu registro entre os que estavam registrados nas genealogias, mas não foram achados; pelo que, por imundos, foram excluídos do sacerdócio.
63 E o tirsata lhes disse para que não comessem das coisas santíssimas, até que se levantasse um sacerdote com Urim e com Tumim.
64 Toda congregação reunida era de quarenta e dois mil trezentos e sessenta,
65 fora os seus servos e as suas servas, dos quais havia sete mil trezentos e trinta e sete; e havia entre eles duzentos cantores e cantoras.
66 Os seus cavalos eram setecentos e trinta e seis; as suas mulas, duzentos e quarenta e cinco;
67 os seus camelos; quatrocentos e trinta e cinco; os seus jumentos, seis mil setecentos e vinte.
68 E alguns chefes dos pais, quando vieram à casa do SENHOR que está em Jerusalém, ofertaram livremente para a casa de Deus para restabelecê-la no seu lugar;
69 conforme a sua capacidade, deram para o tesouro da obra, sessenta e um mil dáricos em ouro, e, cinco mil libras em prata, e cem vestes sacerdotais.
70 Assim, habitaram os sacerdotes, e os levitas, e alguns do povo, e os cantores, e os porteiros, e os netineus nas suas cidades, e todo o Israel nas suas cidades.

42 The sons of the gatekeepers: The sons of Shallum, the sons of Ater, the sons of Talmon, the sons of Akkub, the sons of Hatita, the sons of Shobai, a hundred and thirty-nine.
43 The temple-slaves: The sons of Ziha, the sons of Hasupha, the sons of Tabbaoth,
44 the sons of Keros, the sons of Siaha, the sons of Padon,
45 the sons of Lebanah, the sons of Hagabah, the sons of Akkub,
46 the sons of Hagab, the sons of Shalmai, the sons of Hanan,
47 the sons of Giddel, the sons of Gahar, the sons of Reaiah,
48 the sons of Rezin, the sons of Nekoda, the sons of Gazzam,
49 the sons of Uzza, the sons of Paseah, the sons of Besai,
50 the sons of Asnah, the sons of Mehunim, the sons of Nephusim,
51 the sons of Bakbuk, the sons of Hakupha, the sons of Harhur,
52 the sons of Bazluth, the sons of Mehida, the sons of Harsha,
53 the sons of Barkos, the sons of Sisera, the sons of Thamah,
54 the sons of Neziah, the sons of Hatipha.
55 The sons of Solomon's servants: The sons of Sotai, the sons of Sophereth, the sons of Peruda,
56 the sons of Jaalah, the sons of Darkon, the sons of Giddel,
57 the sons of Shephatiah, the sons of Hattil, the sons of Pochereth of Zebaim, the sons of Ami.
58 All the temple-slaves, and the sons of Solomon's servants three hundred and ninety-two.
59 And these [were] they who went up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsa, Cherub, Addan, [and] Immer, but they could not show their father's house and their seed, whether they [were] of Israel:
60 the sons of Delaiah, the sons of Tobiah, the sons of Nekoda, six hundred and fifty-two.
61 And of the sons of the priests, the sons of Habaiah, the sons of Koz, the sons of Barzillai (who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name).
62 These looked for their register [among] those who were counted by genealogy, but they were not found. Therefore they were polluted from the priesthood.
63 And the governor said to them that they should not eat of the most holy things until there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.
64 The whole congregation together [was] forty-two thousand, three hundred and sixty,
65 besides their servants and their maids, seven thousand three hundred and thirty-seven. And among them [were] two hundred singing men and singing women.
66 Their horses [were] seven hundred and thirty-six, their mules, two hundred and forty-five,
67 their camels, four hundred and thirty-five, their asses six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
68 And [some] of the chief of the fathers, when they came to the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God to set it up in its place.
69 They gave according to their ability to the treasure of the work, sixty one thousand drachmas of gold, and five thousand minas of silver, and one hundred priest's garments.
70 And the priests, and the Levites, and [many] of the people, and the singers, and the gatekeepers, and the temple slaves, lived in their cities. And all Israel in their cities.
