Esta foi, portanto, a sorte da tribo dos filhos de Judá, segundo as suas famílias; até o termo de Edom, o deserto de Zim, em direção ao sul era a parte extrema da costa sul. 
E o seu limite sul era desde a margem do mar Salgado, desde a baía que olha para o sul; 
e saiu para o lado sul até Maalé-Acrabim, passou ao longo de Zim, e subiu pelo lado sul até Cades-Barneia, e passou ao longo de Hezrom, e subiu até Adar, e deu a volta por Carca; 
ele passava em direção a Azmom, e saía até o rio do Egito; e as saídas daquele termo ficavam junto ao mar; este será o vosso termo meridional. 
E o limite leste era o mar Salgado, até a extremidade do Jordão. E o seu limite na porção setentrional era desde a baía do mar na parte extrema do Jordão; 
e o limite subia até Bete-Hogla, e passava ao norte de Bete-Arabá; e o limite subia até a pedra de Boã, o filho de Rúben; 
e o limite subia em direção a Debir, desde o vale de Acor, e dali em direção norte, olhando para Gilgal, que está diante da subida de Adumim, que está no lado sul do rio; e o limite passava em direção às águas de En-Semes, e as suas saídas ficavam em En-Rogel; 
e o limite subia pelo vale do filho de Hinom até o lado sul do jebuseu, que é Jerusalém; e o limite subia até o cume do monte que está entre o vale de Hinom, em direção oeste, o qual fica na extremidade do vale dos gigantes, em direção norte; 
e o limite se estendia do cume do monte até a fonte da água de Neftoa, e subia até as cidades do monte Efrom; e o limite se estendia até Baalá, que é Quiriate-Jearim. 
E o limite circundava desde Baalá, em direção oeste, até o monte Seir, e passava até o lado do monte Jearim, que é Quesalom, no lado norte, e descia até Bete-Semes, e passava adiante até Timna. 
E o limite saía para o lado de Ecrom em direção ao norte; e o limite se estendia até Siquerom, e passava até o monte Baalá, e saía até Jabneel; e as saídas do limite eram junto ao mar. 
E o limite oeste era o grande mar, e o seu limite. Este é o termo dos filhos de Judá, ao seu redor, segundo as suas famílias. 
E a Calebe, o filho de Jefoné, ele deu uma parte no meio dos filhos de Judá, segundo o mandamento do SENHOR a Josué, a saber, a cidade de Arba, o pai de Anaque, a qual é a cidade de Hebrom. 
E Calebe expulsou de lá os três filhos de Anaque: Sesai, Aimã e Talmai; os filhos de Anaque. 
E ele subiu de lá até os habitantes de Debir; e o nome de Debir, anteriormente, era Quiriate-Sefer. 
E Calebe disse: Aquele que ferir Quiriate-Sefer, e a tomar, a ele darei a minha filha, Acsa. 
E Otniel, o filho de Quenaz, o irmão de Calebe, tomou-a; e ele entregou-lhe a sua filha Acsa por esposa. 
E sucedeu que, vindo ela até ele, ela o levou a pedir ao seu pai um campo; e ela desceu do seu jumento; e Calebe lhe disse: O que queres tu? 
Que respondeu: Dá-me uma bênção; pois tu me deste uma terra meridional; dá-me também fontes de água. E ele lhe deu as fontes superiores, e as fontes inferiores. 
Esta é a herança da tribo dos filhos de Judá, segundo as suas famílias. 
E as cidades limítrofes da tribo dos filhos de Judá, em direção ao termo de Edom, ao sul eram: Cabzeel, e Éder, e Jagur, 
e Quiná, e Dimona, e Adada, 
e Quedes, e Hazor, e Itnã, 
e Zife, e Telém, e Bealote, 
e Hazor-Hadata, e Queriote-Hezrom, que é Hazor, 
Amã, e Sema, e Molada, 
e Hazar-Gada, e Hesmom, e Bete-Palete, 
e Hasar-Sual, e Berseba, e Biziotiá, 
Baalá, e Iim, e Ezém, 
e Eltolade, e Quesil, e Horma, 
e Ziclague, e Madmana, e Sansana, 
e Lebaote, e Silim, e Aim, e Rimom: todas as cidades com as suas aldeias, são vinte e nove; 
e no vale: Estaol, e Zorá, e Asná, 
e Zanoa, e En-Ganim, e Tapua, e Enã, 
Jarmute, e Adulão, Socó, e Azeca, 
e Saaraim, e Aditaim, e Gedera, e Gederotaim: catorze cidades com as suas aldeias; 
Zenã, e Hadasa, e Migdal-Gade, 
e Dileã, e Mispá, e Jocteel, 
Laquis, e Bozcate, e Eglom, 
e Cabom, e Laamás, e Quitlis, 
e Gederote, Bete-Dagom, e Naamá, e Maquedá: dezesseis cidades com as suas aldeias; 
Libna, e Eter, e Asã, 
e Iftá, e Asná, e Nezibe, 
e Queila, e Aczibe, e Maressa: nove cidades com as suas aldeias; 
Ecrom, com as suas cidades e as suas aldeias; 
desde Ecrom, até ao mar, todas as que se situam próximas a Asdode, com as suas aldeias. 
Asdode, com as suas cidades e aldeias, Gaza, com as suas cidades e aldeias, até o rio do Egito, e o grande mar, e o seu limite; 
e nos montes: Samir, e Jatir, e Socó, 
e Daná, e Quiriate-Sana, que é Debir, 
e Anabe, e Estemoa, e Anim, 
e Gósen, e Holom, e Gilo: onze cidades com as suas aldeias; 
Arabe, e Dumá, e Esã, 
e Janim, e Bete-Tapua, e Afeque, 
e Hunta, e Quiriate-Arba, que é Hebrom, e Zior: nove cidades com as suas aldeias; 
Maom, Carmelo, e Zife, e Jutá, 
e Jezreel, e Jocdeão, e Zanoa, 
Caim, Gibeá, e Timna: dez cidades com as suas aldeias; 
Halul, Bete-Zur, e Gedor, 
e Maarate, e Bete-Anote, e Eltecom: seis cidades com as suas aldeias; 
Quiriate-Baal, que é Quiriate-Jearim, e Rabá: duas cidades com as suas aldeias; 
no deserto: Bete-Arabá, Midim, e Secaca, 
E Nibsã, e a cidade do Sal, e En-Gedi: seis cidades com as suas aldeias. 
Quanto aos jebuseus, os habitantes de Jerusalém, os filhos de Judá não conseguiram expulsá-los; mas os jebuseus habitam com os filhos de Judá em Jerusalém, até este dia. 

[This] then was the lot of the tribe of the sons of Judah by their families: to the border of Edom, the wilderness of Zin southward, in the extreme south. 
And their south border was from the end of the Salt Sea, from the bay that looks southward. 
And it went out southward to the ascent of Akrabbim, and passed on to Zin, and went up on the south of Kadesh-barnea, and went on to Hezron, and went up toward Adar, and turned toward Karkaa, 
and passed on to Azmon, and went out by the torrent of Egypt. And the boundary line was at the Sea. This shall be your south border. 
And the east border, the Salt Sea to the end of Jordan, and [their] border in the north quarter [was] from the bay of the sea at the uttermost part of Jordan. 
And the border went up to Beth-hoglah, and passed along by the north of Beth-arabah. And the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben; 
And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, before the going up to Adummim, which [is] on the south side of the river. And the border passed toward the waters of En-shemesh, and its boundary was at En-rogel. 
And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom to the south side of the Jebusite. It [is] Jerusalem. And the border went up to the top of the mountain that lies before the valley of Hinnom westward, at the end of the Valley of the Giants northward. 
And the border was drawn from the top of the hill to the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron. And the border was drawn to Baalah; it [is] Kirjath-jearim. 
And the border went around from Baalah westward to Mount Seir, and passed along to the side of mount Jearim; it is Chesalon, on the north side, and went down to Bethshemesh, and passed on to Timnah. 
And the border went to the side of Ekron northward, and the border was drawn [to] Shikkeron and passed along to Mount Baalah, and went out to Jabneel. And the boundary line was at the Sea. 
And the west border [was] to the Great Sea, and the coast. This is the border of the sons of Judah all around according to their families. 
And he gave a part among the sons of Judah to Caleb the son of Jephunneh, according to the command of the LORD to Joshua, even the city of Arba the father of Anak; it [is] Hebron. 
And Caleb drove out from there the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the sons of Anak. 
And he went up from there to those who lived in Debir. And the name of Debir before [was] Kirjath-sepher. 
And Caleb said, He who smites Kirjath-sepher, and takes it, I will give my daughter Achsah to him for a wife. 
And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it. And he gave him Achsah his daughter for a wife. 
And it happened as she came, she moved him to ask a field from her father. And she dismounted from the ass. And Caleb said to her, What do you [desire] ? 
She answered, Give me a blessing, for you have given me a south land. Give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs and the lower springs. 
This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Judah according to their families. 
And the furthest cities of the tribe of the sons of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur, 
and Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah, 
and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan, 
Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth, 
and Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth-Hezron, which is Hazor, 
Amam, and Shema, and Moladah, 
and Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-palet, 
and Hazar-shual, and Beer-sheba, and Bizjothjah, 
Baalah, and Iim, and Azem, 
and Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah, 
and Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah, 
and Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon. All the cities [are] twenty-nine, with their villages. 
In the low country [were] Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah, 
and Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam, 
Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah, 
and Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities with their villages-- 
Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad, 
and Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel, 
Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon, 
and Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish, 
and Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages-- 
Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan, 
and Jiphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib, 
and Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities and their villages; 
Ekron with its town and its villages; 
from Ekron even to the Sea, all that were at hand by Ashdod, and their villages; 
Ashdod with its towns and its villages; Gaza with its towns and its villages, to the river of Egypt, and the Great Sea, and [its] coast. 
And in the mountains, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh, 
and Dannah, and Kirjath-sannah (which is Debir); 
and Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim, 
and Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities and their villages; 
Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean, 
and Janum, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah, 
and Humtah, and Kirjath-arba; it [is] Hebron; and Zior; nine cities and their villages-- 
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah, 
and Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah, 
Cain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities and their villages; 
Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor, 
and Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six cities and their villages-- 
Kirjath-baal; it [is] Kirjath-jearim; and Rabbah; two cities and their villages. 
In the wilderness, Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah, 
and Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and En-gedi; six cities and their villages. 
As for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the sons of Judah could not drive them out. But the Jebusites live with the sons of Judah at Jerusalem to this day.
