20 Dar pe cînd se gîndea el la aceste lucruri, i s'a arătat în vis un înger al Domnului, şi i -a zis: ,,Iosife, fiul lui David, nu te teme să iei la tine pe Maria, nevastă-ta, căci ce s'a zămislit în ea, este dela Duhul Sfînt.

21 Ea va naşte un Fiu, şi -i vei pune numele Isus, pentru că El va mîntui pe poporul Lui de păcatele sale.

20 And on his thinking of these things, lo, a messenger of the Lord in a dream appeared to him, saying, Joseph, son of David, thou mayest not fear to receive Mary thy wife, for that which in her was begotten [is] of the Holy Spirit,

21 and she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins.
