Revelation 20

The Great White Throne Judgment

11 Then I saw a great white throne and one seated on it. Earth and heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them.  * 20:11 Is 51:6; Mt 24:35; 2Pt 3:10; Rv 18:2112 I also saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened.  * 20:12 Dn 7:10 Another book was opened, which is the book of life,  * 20:12 Is 4:3; 34:16; Dn 12:1; Rv 3:5; 13:8; 17:8; 20:15; 21:27 and the dead were judged according to their works  * 20:12 Ps 62:12; Jr 17:10; Rm 2:6; 1Pt 1:17 by what was written in the books. 13 Then the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades  * 20:13 Rv 1:18; 6:8 gave up the dead that were in them; each one was judged according to their works. 14 Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.  * 20:14 Is 25:7–8; 1Co 15:26 This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
