1 And when they draw near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sends two of his disciples,
2 and says to them, Go into the village which is over against you, and immediately on entering into it ye will find a colt tied, upon which no {child} of man has ever sat: loose it and lead it {here}.
3 And if any one say to you, Why do ye this? say, The Lord has need of it; and straightway he sends it hither.
4 And they departed, and found a colt bound to the door without at the crossway, and they loose him.
5 And some of those who stood there said to them, What are ye doing, loosing the colt?
6 And they said to them as Jesus had commanded. And they let them {do it}.
7 And they led the colt to Jesus, and cast their clothes upon it, and he sat on it;
8 and many strewed their clothes on the way, and others cut down branches from the trees {and went on strewing them on the way}.
9 And those going on before and those following cried out, Hosanna! blessed {be} he that comes in {the} Lord's name.
10 Blessed {be} the coming kingdom of our father David. Hosanna in the highest!
11 And he entered into Jerusalem and into the temple; and having looked round on all things, the hour being already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.
1 Cînd s'au apropiat de Ierusalim, şi au fost lîngă Betfaghe şi Betania, înspre muntele Măslinilor, Isus a trimes pe doi din ucenicii Săi,
2 şi le -a zis: ,,Duceţi-vă în satul dinaintea voastră: îndată ce veţi intra în el, veţi găsi un măgăruş legat, pe care n'a încălecat încă nici un om; deslegaţi -l şi aduceţi-Mi -l.
3 Dacă vă va întreba cineva: ,Pentruce faceţi lucrul acesta? să răspundeţi: ,Domnul are trebuinţă de el. Şi îndată îl va trimete înapoi aici.
4 Ucenicii s'au dus, au găsit măgăruşul legat afară lîngă o uşă, la cotitura drumului, şi l-au deslegat.
5 Unii din cei ce stăteau acolo, le-au zis: ,,Ce faceţi? De ce deslegaţi măgăruşul acesta?
6 Ei au răspuns cum le poruncise Isus. Şi i-au lăsat să plece.
7 Au adus măgăruşul la Isus, şi-au aruncat hainele pe el, şi Isus a încălecat pe el.
8 Mulţi oameni îşi aşterneau hainele pe drum, iar alţii presărau ramuri, pe cari le tăiaseră depe cîmp.
9 Cei ce mergeau înainte şi cei ce veneau după Isus, strigau: ,,Osana! Binecuvîntat este cel ce vine în Numele Domnului!
10 Binecuvîntată este Împărăţia care vine, Împărăţia părintelui nostru David! Osana în cerurile prea înalte!
11 Isus a intrat în Ierusalim, şi S'a dus în Templu. Dupăce S'a uitat la toate lucrurile de jur împrejur, fiindcă era pe înserate, a plecat la Betania, cu cei doisprezece.
