Gálatas 1

1 Paul, apostle, not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father who raised him from among the dead, 2 and all the brethren with me, to the assemblies of Galatia. 3 Grace to you, and peace, from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave himself for our sins, so that he should deliver us out of the present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father; 5 to whom be glory to the ages of ages. Amen.

6 I wonder that ye thus quickly change, from him that called you in Christ’s grace, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another one; but there are some that trouble you, and desire to pervert the glad tidings of the Christ. 8 But if even we or an angel out of heaven announce as glad tidings to you anything besides what we have announced as glad tidings to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, now also again I say, If any one announce to you as glad tidings anything besides what ye have received, let him be accursed.

10 For do I now seek to satisfy men or God? or do I seek to please men? If I were yet pleasing men, I were not Christ’s bondman. 11 But I let you know, brethren, as to the glad tidings which were announced by me, that they are not according to man. 12 For neither did I receive them from man, neither was I taught them, but by revelation of Jesus Christ. 13 For ye have heard what was my conversation formerly in Judaism, that I excessively persecuted the assembly of God, and ravaged it; 14 and advanced in Judaism beyond many my contemporaries in my nation, being exceedingly zealous of the doctrines of my fathers. 15 But when God, who set me apart even from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, 16 was pleased to reveal his Son in me, that I may announce him as glad tidings among the nations, immediately I took not counsel with flesh and blood, 17 nor went I up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and again returned to Damascus. 18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to make acquaintance with Peter, and I remained with him fifteen days; 19 but I saw none other of the apostles, but James the brother of the Lord. 20 Now what I write to you, behold, before God, I do not lie. 21 Then I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. 22 But I was unknown personally to the assemblies of Judaea which are in Christ; 23 only they were hearing that he who persecuted us formerly now announces the glad tidings of the faith which formerly he ravaged: 24 and they glorified God in me.

3 Gracia sea á vosotros, ✝1.3 Ro. 1.7.y paz de Dios el Padre, y de nuestro Señor Jesucristo,

4 El cual ✝1.4 Mt. 20.28. Ro. 4.25. cp. 2.20se dió á sí mismo por nuestros pecados para librarnos ✝1.4 Jn. 15.19.de este presente siglo malo, conforme á la voluntad de Dios y Padre nuestro;

5 Al cual sea la gloria por siglos de siglos. Amén.

6 Estoy maravillado de que tan pronto os hayáis traspasado ✝1.6 ver. 15|GAL 1:15. cp. 5.8.del que os llamó á la gracia de Cristo, á otro evangelio:

1 Autoridad divina

2 del apostolado de Pablo.

7 No que hay otro, ✝1.7 2 Co. 11.4.sino que hay algunos ✝1.7 Hch. 15.24. cp. 5.10que os inquietan, y quieren pervertir el evangelio de Cristo.

8 Mas aun si nosotros ó ✝1.8 2 Co. 11.14.un ángel del cielo os anunciare otro evangelio del que os hemos anunciado, sea anatema.

9 Como antes hemos dicho, también ahora decimos otra vez: Si alguno os anunciare otro evangelio del que habéis recibido, sea ✝1.9 cp. 5.12.anatema.

10 Porque, ✝1.10 1 Ts. 2.4.¿persuado yo ahora á hombres ó á Dios? ¿ó busco de agradar á hombres? Cierto, que si todavía agradara á los hombres, no sería siervo de Cristo.

11 Mas os hago saber, hermanos, que ✝1.11 Ro. 2.16.el evangelio que ha sido anunciado por mí, no es según hombre;

12 Pues ✝1.12 1 Co. 11.23.ni yo lo recibí, ni lo aprendí de hombre, sino ✝1.12 2 Co. 12.2,7. cp. 2.2. Ef. 3.3.por revelación de Jesucristo.

13 Porque ya habéis oído acerca de ✝1.13 Ef. 4.22. He. 13.7.mi conducta otro tiempo en el Judaismo, que perseguía ✝1.13 Hch. 8.3.sobremanera la iglesia de Dios, y la destruía;

14 Y aprovechaba en el Judaismo sobre muchos de mis iguales en mi nación, ✝1.14 Fil. 3.6.siendo muy más celador que todos ✝1.14 Mt. 15.2. Col. 2.8.de las tradiciones de mis padres.

15 Mas cuando plugo á Dios, ✝1.15 Ro. 1.1,5.que me apartó desde el vientre de mi madre, y ✝1.15 ver. 6me llamó por su gracia,

16 Revelar á su Hijo en mí, ✝1.16 Hch. 9.15. cp. 2.7,8para que le predicase entre los Gentiles, luego no conferí con carne y sangre;

17 Ni fuí á Jerusalem á los que eran apóstoles antes que yo; sino que me fuí á la ✝1.17 cp. 4.25.Arabia, y volví de nuevo á Damasco.

18 Depués, pasados ✝1.18 Hch. 9.23.tres años, ✝1.18 Hch. 9.26-30.fuí á Jerusalem á ver á Pedro, y estuve con él quince días.

19 Mas á ningún otro de los apóstoles vi, ✝1.19 Hch. 12.17.sino á Jacobo el hermano del Señor.

20 Y en esto que os escribo, he aquí delante de Dios, no miento.

21 Después fuí á las partes de ✝1.21 Hch. 15.23.Siria y de ✝1.21 Hch. 9.30.Cilicia;

22 Y no era conocido de vista á las iglesias de Judea, que ✝1.22 2 Co. 5.17.eran en Cristo;

23 Solamente habían oído decir: Aquel que en otro tiempo nos perseguía, ahora anuncia la fe que en otro tiempo destruía.

24 Y ✝1.24 2 Co. 9.13.glorificaban á Dios en mí.
