1 João 3

1 Sehet, welch eine Liebe uns der Vater gegeben hat, daß wir Kinder Gottes heißen sollen! Deswegen erkennt uns die Welt nicht, weil sie ihn nicht erkannt hat. 2 Geliebte, jetzt sind wir Kinder Gottes, und es ist noch nicht offenbar geworden, *O. geoffenbart worden was wir sein werden; wir wissen, daß, wenn es offenbar werden wird, *O. wenn er geoffenbart werden wird; vergl. Kap. 2,28 ; Kol. 3,4 wir ihm gleich sein werden, denn wir werden ihn sehen, wie er ist. 3 Und jeder, der diese Hoffnung zu ihm *O. auf ihn hat, reinigt sich selbst, gleichwie er rein ist.

4 Jeder, der die Sünde tut, tut auch die Gesetzlosigkeit, und die Sünde ist die Gesetzlosigkeit. 5 Und ihr wisset, daß er geoffenbart worden ist, auf daß er unsere Sünden wegnehme; und Sünde ist nicht in ihm. 6 Jeder, der in ihm bleibt, sündigt nicht; jeder, der sündigt, hat ihn nicht gesehen noch ihn erkannt. 7 Kinder, daß niemand euch verführe! Wer die Gerechtigkeit tut, ist gerecht, gleichwie er gerecht ist. 8 Wer die Sünde tut, ist aus dem Teufel, denn der Teufel sündigt von Anfang. Hierzu ist der Sohn Gottes geoffenbart worden, auf daß er die Werke des Teufels vernichte. 9 Jeder, der aus Gott geboren *O. von Gott gezeugt ist, tut nicht Sünde, denn sein Same bleibt in ihm; und er kann nicht sündigen, weil er aus Gott geboren *O. von Gott gezeugt ist. 10 Hieran sind offenbar die Kinder Gottes und die Kinder des Teufels. Jeder, der nicht Gerechtigkeit tut, ist nicht aus Gott, und wer nicht seinen Bruder liebt.

11 Denn dies ist die Botschaft, die ihr von Anfang gehört habt, daß wir einander lieben sollen; 12 nicht wie Kain aus dem Bösen war und seinen Bruder ermordete; und weshalb ermordete er ihn? weil seine Werke böse waren, die seines Bruders aber gerecht. 13 Wundert euch nicht, Brüder, wenn die Welt euch haßt.

14 Wir wissen, daß wir aus dem Tode in das Leben übergegangen sind, weil wir die Brüder lieben; wer den Bruder nicht liebt, bleibt in dem Tode. 15 Jeder, der seinen Bruder haßt, ist ein Menschenmörder, und ihr wisset, daß kein Menschenmörder ewiges Leben in sich bleibend *O. wohnend hat. 16 Hieran haben wir die Liebe erkannt, daß er für uns sein Leben dargelegt hat; auch wir sind schuldig, für die Brüder das Leben darzulegen. 17 Wer aber der Welt Güter *Eig. Lebensunterhalt hat und sieht seinen Bruder Mangel leiden und verschließt sein Herz *O. Inneres. (W. sein Eingeweide) vor ihm, wie bleibt die Liebe Gottes in ihm? 18 Kinder, laßt uns nicht lieben mit Worten, *W. mit Wort noch mit der Zunge, sondern in Tat und Wahrheit. 19 Und hieran werden wir erkennen, daß wir aus der Wahrheit sind, und werden vor ihm unsere Herzen überzeugen, - *O. beschwichtigen, versichern

20 daß, wenn unser Herz uns verurteilt, Gott größer ist als unser Herz und alles kennt. 21 Geliebte, wenn unser Herz uns nicht verurteilt, so haben wir Freimütigkeit zu Gott, 22 und was irgend wir bitten, empfangen wir von ihm, weil wir seine Gebote halten und das vor ihm Wohlgefällige tun.

23 Und dies ist sein Gebot, daß wir an den Namen seines Sohnes Jesu Christi glauben und einander lieben, gleichwie er uns ein Gebot gegeben hat. 24 Und wer seine Gebote hält, bleibt in ihm, und er in ihm; und hieran erkennen wir, daß er in uns bleibt, durch den *O. aus dem Geist, den er uns gegeben hat.

4 Ko te tangata e mea ana i te hara, he takahi tāna i te ture; he takahi hoki te hara i te ture. 5 E mātau ana anō koutou i whakakitea mai ia hei waha atu i ō tātou hara; kāhore anō hoki he hara i roto i a ia. 6 Ko te tangata e mau ana i roto i a ia e kore e hara: ko te tangata e hara ana, kāhore i kite i a ia, kāhore anō i mātau ki a ia.

7 E āku tamariki nonohi, kei whakapōhēhētia koutou e tētahi. Ko te tangata e mea ana i te tika, he tika anō ia, pērā hoki me tērā e tika ana. 8 Ko te tangata e mea ana i te hara, nō te rēwera ia; he hara hoki tō te rēwera nō te tīmatanga rā anō. Mō konei te Tama a te Atua i whakakitea mai ai, kia whakakāhoretia ai e ia ngā mahi a te rēwera.

9 Ko te tangata kua whānau i te Atua e kore e mea i te hara; nō te mea e mau ana tana purapura i roto i a ia. E kore hoki e āhei i a ia te hara, nō te mea kua whānau ia i te Atua. 10 Mā konei ka kitea ai ngā tamariki a te Atua me ngā tamariki a te rēwera. Ko te tangata e kore e mahi i te tika, ehara ia i te Atua, me ia anō hoki e kore e aroha ki tōna teina.

Kia Aroha tētahi ki tētahi

11 Ko te kōrero hoki tēnei i rongo ai koutou nō te tīmatanga, kia aroha tātou tētahi ki tētahi. 12 Kaua rā e pērā me Kaina; nō te wairua kino nei ia, ā, kōhurutia ana e ia tōna teina. Nā te aha hoki ia i kōhuru ai i a ia? Nō te mea he kino āna mahi, ko ā tōna teina ia he tika.

13 Kaua e mīharo, e ōku tēina, ki te kino te ao ki a koutou. 14 E mātau ana tātou kua whiti tātou i te mate ki te ora, nō te mea e aroha ana tātou ki ngā tēina. Ko te tangata kāhore e aroha ki te teina, e noho ana ia i roto i te mate. 15 Ko te tangata e mauāhara ana ki tōna teina, he kaipatu tangata ia; ka mātau hoki koutou, ko te kaipatu tangata kāhore he ora tonu e mau ana i roto i a ia.

He tika anō kia tukua tātou e tātou anō ki te mate mō ngā tēina. 17 Ko te tangata ia i a ia nei ngā oranga o tēnei ao, ā, ka kite e matea ana tētahi mea e tōna teina, nā, ka tūtakina iho e ia tōna ngākau aroha ki a ia, e mau pēhea ana te aroha o te Atua i roto i a ia? 18 E āku tamariki nonohi, kaua e waiho mā te kupu, mā te arero te aroha; engari mā te mahi, mā te pono.
