1 In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness. 2 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land. 3 And it shall come to pass that, when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shall not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth. 4 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he prophesieth; neither shall they wear a hairy mantle to deceive: 5 but he shall say, I am no prophet, I am a tiller of the ground; for I have been made a bondman from my youth. 6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds between thine arms? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. 7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered; and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. 8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. 9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people; and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

1 — Naquele dia, haverá uma fonte aberta para a casa de Davi e para os moradores de Jerusalém, para remover o pecado e a impureza.

2 — Naquele dia, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, eliminarei da terra os nomes dos ídolos, e não haverá mais memória deles. Também removerei da terra os profetas e o espírito imundo. 3 Se alguém ainda profetizar, seu pai e sua mãe, que o geraram, lhe dirão: "Você será morto, porque está falando mentiras em nome do Senhor." E seu pai e sua mãe, que o geraram, o matarão à espada, quando ele profetizar. 4 Naquele dia, os profetas terão vergonha de suas visões proféticas, e nunca mais vestirão um manto de pelos, para enganar as pessoas. 5 Pelo contrário, cada um dirá: "Eu não sou profeta; sou lavrador. Trabalho no campo desde a minha juventude." 6 Se alguém lhe perguntar: "Que feridas são essas nas suas mãos?", ele responderá: "São as feridas com que fui ferido na casa dos meus amigos."

7 "Levante-se, ó espada,

e ataque o meu pastor

e aquele que é

o meu companheiro",

diz o Senhor dos Exércitos.

"Fira o pastor,

e as ovelhas ficarão dispersas.

E voltarei a minha mão

para os pequeninos.

8 Em toda a terra",

diz o Senhor,

"dois terços dela serão eliminados

e morrerão;

mas uma terça parte irá sobreviver.

9 Farei essa terça parte

passar pelo fogo,

e a purificarei

como se purifica a prata,

e a provarei como se prova o ouro.

Eles invocarão o meu nome,

e eu os atenderei.

Direi: ‘Vocês são o meu povo’,

e eles responderão:

‘O Senhor é o nosso Deus.’"
