16 And I charged your judges at that time, ‘Hear the cases between your brothers, and *ch. 16:18;John 7:24judge righteously between a man and his brother or the alien who is with him. 17 *ch. 16:19;Ex. 23:2,3;Lev. 19:15;2 Chr. 19:7;Prov. 24:23;28:21;Mal. 2:9;James 2:1,9You shall not be partial in judgment. You shall hear the small and the great alike. You shall not be intimidated by anyone, for *2 Chr. 19:6;[Ex. 21:6] the judgment is God’s. And the case that is too hard for you, you shall *Ex. 18:22,26bring to me, and I will hear it.’
